husband vent

I don't normally do this, but I'm still steaming and I just need to get it off my chest.  MH hates his job and has been a bear in the morning lately.  Now that I am back to work we're both up getting ready at the same time.  Yesterday he was pissed off because the soap in the shower was a tiny sliver and needed to be replaced.  I don't know where it was written that it is the wife's job to make sure her husband has a new bar of soap in the shower.  I do all of the shopping, so this stuff just magically appears in the house.  Toilet paper, soap, food, detergent....I stay pretty on top of it so it's very rare that we run out of stuff.  But apparently that isn't appreciated and having to replace the soap himself is the worst thing in the world.

This morning he crabbed about the fact that I'm doing a Prostate walk Father's day morning with my family (my dad is a survivor) because "he is a father too now".  Um yeah, the walk and breakfast will take a couple hours, I highly doubt anything he wants to do would happen before 11am anyway.  Not to mention the fact that MY porch swing which was my mother's day present still hasn't been put together.

Do you have a husband vent?  Make me feel better that all men can be jerks and not just MH.

I have one! So last night we discuss that I would really like him to start getting up at 7 so we can spend an hour together before he has to be at work. (We live on the ranch he works at and is notorious for sleeping until 7:55 and then getting up and leaving without feeding the dogs, letting them out, or helping with the baby). My day starts at 5 or 6 usually. So being nice I ask if he would get up and spend time with us...he agrees!

Fast forward to 7am this morning...his alarm blares so loud (it's usually on vibrate) well it wakes my sleeping baby who never sleeps that late! I was pissed! Even then he didn't actually get up until 7:45 and that was only due to my bitching! Rant over!

Oooo I have one. So DH has been getting bullied at work by his super and her super and has been fighting back (which is more difficult than you'd think). He's been on edge for so long about this. We also moved and had to deal with bugs from our old place(they are gone) but all if this has him pissy. Today we go to do errands and vote. He's been snipping at me all day. I start to say let's drive around to see where the entrance for voters is when he interrupts me and parks anyways. I check the door to the bldg and LO and behold it's locked. I said "it's around the other side" to which he says "why didn't you tell me?" I say because you've been snapping at me all day. Ugh- I love him but listening to his constant bitching about this job is so tiring.

In related news we think he's getting fired tomorrow (without grounds so we're lawyering up) so that's fun. I had better not have to cut my mat leave short. Ugh
  • Your husband should go on the walk with you! Just because he is a father now, doesn't mean you can ignore your father. He better put your swing together ASAP!

In general I wish my husband would be more appreciative of everything I do to take care of LO (I'm now a stay at home mom and EBF). He has been working a lot lately which means I do everything on my own, from the time LO wakes up to when she goes to bed. The nights he is off of work on time, I have him help me put LO to bed and he seems to have no patience when she is fussy/doesn't want to sleep. All I want to hear is "good job" or "thank you for taking care of LO" every now and then.
  • I have one! H and I were laying in bed this morning and all of a sudden hear the dog puke in our room. We both jump up, but he goes to the closet and gets dressed and I'm left to clean it up. Ok, fine, I don't really care. But ever since LO, my gag reflexes are horrible. So I head to the bathroom about to puke and ask him if he can at least get majority of it picked up. As he huffs and puffs over to the pile he bitches how I expect him to clean the puke up. Excuse me!!!! Who was the one who jumped up first? Ugh, I know that wasn't how you wanted to be woken up but shit happens! Get over it!!!!
  • I want to throw my husbands xbox360 away. I'm annoyed at the number of hours playing some game.
