Still Swaddling?!

First an introduction. I was on December 2013, but have only occasionally lurked since giving birth.  We have two DD's Emily (3 yrs) and Caroline (5 mns).  I used to love to Bump while pregnant before falling asleep at night, but now, I'm asleep before my head hits the pillow, two LO's is certainly wearing me out!

My DD is almost 6 months old and we still swaddle her for sleeping, at least we did until a few nights ago when I caught her trying to roll over.  So, now she's up every five minutes because her hands are constantly at her face, pulling her bink out, rubbing her eyes, scratching herself, etc.  I don't remember having this problem with my first.  We started with the Swaddle Me and now have the Halo arms in or arms out option, I forget the name.  Any suggestions? Will she just get used to it? Thanks!!

    We swaddled DS that long. We tried to wean him from the swaddle and it didn't work. We just had to go cold turkey with him. We had 2 bad nights and then he learned how to sleep on his belly. After that, all was good.

    With DD we were able to wean her out. We did one arm out for 4 nights, then 2 arms out (still swaddled her body) for 4 nights and then into a sleep sac. 

    I think at that age, cold turkey is the best option, but every child is different. You can always look into the Merlin Magic Sleepsuit.

    My LO started breaking out of his swaddle (both the easy swaddle and swaddle mes couldn't contain him) at 2 months.  We tried to just swaddle his body and then later just one arm and it was a nightmare.  Since he was still so young, his reflexes kept startling him awake.  We got him the Merlin Magic sleep suit and it works great for him.  Other moms have recommended the zipadeezip but I haven't tried that since the sleep suit worked for us.  GL!

    DS will be 5 months on 27th. He still needs something too, but was breaking out of swaddle. We've been using the Magic Sleepsuit since early May and love it!!!
