How often do you need to cut LO's nails?

Note the question is need to cut, not actually how often you DO cut them. That's for all my fellow procrastinators! This question comes from the UO's where @megash113 said her pedi told her that most babies only need their nails cut once a month. How often do you need to cut LO's nails (how often do they start to get long/sharp/etc)?

EDIT: There's no special snowflake option. You've got to pick one.
:O)

    ^ THIS!!!

    @rach521, thank you for taking my words out of my head. I wince every single clip I make. It's painful.

    @Codypup‌ it's so painful!! I even have the clippers that have a light attached to it and that helps so much but I put them on and take them off her nail 724 times before I clip. then I have a heart attack and hold my breath and see that I just made the tiniest clip in her nail ever and then I try to just peel it off. ugh so stressful!!

  • This poll made me realize I have never cut LO'so toenails. I just got really panicked and went to check them. I envisioned long toe nails but nope. They are still short!

    Fingernails 2-3 times a week. I voted for twice, because the third time is usually just when I have to fix accidentally making one nail sharper than it started. Of course I find this out by red marks all over her face. #-o Toe nails ... Ummm no clue ... Once a month sounds about right.
    ^this - though his big toes I've only trimmed once so far (3 months this week).

  • My kid's nails grow like freaking weeds.

    I'm jealous of those who can wait a week between clippings because it is super stressful and he hates it! Early on I accidentally missed and he bled a little. It made me one sad Mama.

  • I've never cut his toenails. Fingernails, I need to do once a week.

  • Reminds me that I need to cut them tonight! Or tomorrow if I procrastinate...fingernails once a week, toenails randomly as needed.

    I clip her finger nails once a week. I clip at least her big toe nails twice a month.

    And for the record, the pedi said toenails were once a month, not fingernails.

    @megash113‌

    Apparently I can't read.

  • At least twice a week for fingernails.  Toenails I've done a couple of times now.  I even had to do the little toes the other day.  That was kinda freaky!
