AW my doctor did something awesome

My 4 yr old came along to my 32 week check up. We were talking before the doctor came in and I told her when he came in she had to sit quietly and behave. (I bribed her with something from toys r us lol) So he comes in and says hello and my daughter just sits there like a robot and doesn't respond. I said are you going to say hello? Nothing. I said I guess she's taking me telling her she had to be quiet and behave a little too literally. So he says to her come here I need you to help my find the baby's heartbeat, I can't find it without your help. Her face just lit up! He had her stand on the other side of the table and move Doppler around on my belly until she found the heartbeat. She was so excited! We had to call everyone (dad, grandpa, aunts) when we left so she could tell them. I thought it was so cool he did that. Unfortunately there's a good chance I'm switching practices. If I knew I could just stick with him I'd stay but I'm really not happy with the other doctors there.

    It's a good possibility. I have an appointment to talk to the new doc on Monday. I'm strongly considering a VBAC and I feel like none of the doctors at this practice have been very supportive. One of them was extremely rude to me with something having nothing to do with the VBAC. There is another doctor I've heard very good things about from woman who have had VBACS and c sections so I'm going to talk to him and see what he has to say and then make my choice after.

    This made me think of you: I had a U/S yesterday and MH and DS (3 1/2) came to "see the baby." The U/S tech then did an ultrasound on DS's heart and showed him what his heart looked like, asked him to spell his name, and printed out a copy.

    Isn't it nice when they go above and beyond?
