Just thought I would share my funny mil story of the day......

Back story. Mil and Fil watche DD 1-2 days a week, depending on my work schedule. The other 2 days she goes to daycare.

Today I get home and she is telling me about her day. She said oh the ice cream truck went by today. I just nod as it goes by every day in the summer. I thought maybe she was going to say they ran out and got ice cream. I was not prepared for what she said next.

She said "hmmm, well there were two men in the truck" Me: ok. She said "well they were kinda scraggly looking and they were wearing (gasp) camo!!" Me: ok. She said "I think they were pedophiles" I about spit my water out. I said "what?!" She said "I think they were just casing the neighborhood to find out who has kids, they are definitely pedophiles!!". I've lived here for 5 years and the same guy has driven the ice cream truck. She said "well I'm just saying, and we won't be going out front when I hear the music!"

SMH!!

TTC for 1.5 years with a crappy RE. 12 cycles with clomid (11 too many)
New RE, 3 failed IUI's moving to IVF with ICSI
IVF#1 BFP EDD 1/10/13
Beta#1 51  Beta #2 148
A/S 8/20/13 Team Pink
Induced week 39 due to severe GD
Baby girl born 1/4/13

       TTC #2 2 failed IUI's moving on to FET 3/2014

    Lol oh no it's totally funny. I couldn't wait to tell DH when he got home. :)

    She's looking out for DD like a hawk! :)  

    Until I was 4 or 5 my mom and the other neighborhood parents had somehow convinced us kids on the block that the ice cream truck was just the "music truck."  Man were we missing out!

    That's awesome!  The parents on our street growing up had us all convinced that when the music was playing it meant that they were out of ice cream and the music was so that we still got a treat.  It made sense to us (at the time) because we were at the back of a neighbourhood.  We used to get so mad at the other kids closer to the front of the neighbourhood who kept buying all the ice cream...

    My grandparents who have both passed now, referred to everyone with a beard as a terrorist.  Thank God they passed before the whole hipster trend really took off.  I don't think they would have left the house.
    Me: unexplained infertility - annovulatory DH: testicular cancer survivor!! TTC since June 2009 BFP May 11, 2012 EDD January 24, 2013 June 1, 2012 - first u/s, heartbeat 124 BPM!! June 22, 2012 - heard the heartbeat 9w1d 181 BPM!! 24 hours of labor, 4 1/2 hours of pushing, and IT'S A BOY! Welcome to the world my miracle, we prayed and prayed for you, and we can't believe you're here!
