Intro -- my story

Hi all! 
So after several months of totally avoiding thebump.com, I'm ready to be back. Here is my story. My wife and I have been married for 4.5 years. She is Danish, I'm American. We moved to Denmark about 5 years ago, and are now trying to have a baby. We had our first IUI last fall, with ended in a BFP! However, it sadly ended in a miscarriage at just before 7 weeks. We were heart broken, and as I had also just started a new job, trying again was off the table until now. We just went in for IUI #2, and am on day 3 of the 2ww. I want so badly to become a mother and I want this to work, but I also feel very cautious after having lost one. Anyways, I look forward to starting again and I hope that we get another BFP :)

    Welcome! This is a great group! I'm so sorry about your miscarriage. My spouse and I lost our first baby around 7 weeks. We are now almost 14 weeks with our second baby. Please join us in our check ins and join our conversations!

    Queer coupled and having a BABY with the love of my life! Love my life and wouldn't have it any other way!

    C began IUI's

BFN, Took off the month to switch to an RE. 01/01/2014 C's 4th IUI...BFP!!!!!!!! Beta #1- 17, Beta #2- 34, Beta #3-140....  6W Ultra-Sound Reveals nothing in Gestation Sack... Natural M/C at 7W, 2/3/2014

    03/21/2014 IUI #10...BFP!!! Beta #1- 48, Beta #2- 416, Beta #3- 1018. GROW BABY GROW!!!

    1st Ultrasound 4/22/2014 Baby Squints is PERFECT! Measuring at 6w2d with a heartbeat of 129. EDD: 12/12/14.

    Ultrasound at 18 weeks on 7/14/2014. Baby is healthy and growing just as she should!

    How exciting for you!  It's good to read the success stories because sometimes it just feels like it's never going to work. For whatever reason, I don't have the feeling that it worked this time...Just my intuition. But, I hope I'm wrong. I went into thinking positively, but sometimes I think you just know. But, you never know and maybe I'll be wrong when it comes time to take the test.

    Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

    We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013. 

    11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good. 

    12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

    12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

    We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.

    Welcome, I'm so sorry for your loss.  Good luck this cycle!  Denmark is one of my favorite places I've ever been.  Where are you?

    @JGY: We are in Kolding (Southern Denmark-- Jylland). Where did you go in Denmark? It is a wonderful country, and it has the added bonus that our first 6 treatments for getting pregnant are free!  It is such an open, accepting country.

    I was in Copenhagen and Middelfart, both briefly, but it was beautiful and the people were wonderful.  Such a wonderful thing that you have assistance with your TTC expenses!

    Middelfart is just across the water from here! Yes, the people are wonderful here. And thanks for the welcomes everyone else!  The days are going by so slowly!!!!!!
