I acknowledge that some of these are sort of out there, but I'm just looking for some input. DH is likely to veto every single one, but I like to hear lots of opinions. It's clicky, but I'd love some commentary.
I voted for Callum, I think it is cute for a little guy, but can transition into adulthood well. As for Gunnar, we have a dog named Gunner, and I would just recommend considering your population (if you care). We have had a LOT of people look at us sideways when we tell them our dogs name is Gunner, not Connor or whatever else they had hoped to hear...
I voted Gunnar. I had thrown it into the ring at one point because it's my Grandmother's maiden name and sounds bad ass, but decided it wouldn't be well received by family and in general because of regional values/opinions on guns. Have you considered Gauge? I feel like it's in the same vein of Gunnar and Steele, but more palatable.
I wasn't really sure how to pronounce Dashiell, but I think the nn Dash is kind of cute. I actually voted for Callum because I really like the nn Cal .
Callum got my vote. Dashell without the "i" isn't bad either.
None of these are really my style. I'm more of the uncommon but classic/traditional style namer...like DS is Henry (which rose in popularity the year after he was born!) and this LO is Elliott.
My favorite is Callum, but I didn't vote for it because I'm not sure that I love it paired with Tatum. So instead I voted for Dashiel, which I also like. The others I don't care for much.
I like that they are unusual. I am not a fan of Dashiel but the rest are okay with me. I've heard Madox and Callum before. I really liked Steele only because it was so different ... and a picture of a gorgeous guy popped into my head, so I picked it because it sounded sexy? I should lay of fthe Harlequin romances!
I went to law school with a guy named Steele and he was pretty hot.

Good call. I think I would've reached this realization on my own eventually, but Tatum and Callum is against everything I believe in for naming siblings. LOL.
Love Dasheill, esp.the nn of Dash! Do you or your DH have Irish heritage? I know a couple with a very irish last name and they named their DS this and it sounds perfect!
Nope, I'm Swedish and English and DH is Portuguese and French. Our last name sounds French.
I voted for Dashiell, and I do like the nick name Dash. We are naming our little guy Daxon (Dax), but it was so hard to find an unusual name that didn't sound too weird! Our last name is really common so it has been a challenge. Good luck!
Oh my gosh, I actually like all but one of these names (never heard of Stellan before, can't quite get behind it)! Ignore the fact that the names I've chosen for my boys almost define traditional (we jumped ship a bit with Grayson), we actually thought about Gunnar for a bit for DS#1. It's actually an old Norse name, and the name of one of my great-uncles. My maternal grandfather was actually born in Sweden, and according to him, it was a fairly common name over there at the time. I always love uncommon, but not way out there names! Oh, and I totally voted for Gunnar
I can't even begin to express how very much I dislike Gunnar.
This. My first thought was please do not name your child Gunnar. I'm very surprised others are saying it's on their list as well. I think a lot of names are uncommon for a reason and the reason is not that other people were not creative enough to think of them.
Maddox is ok. Really no likey on the rest, sorry and really, really actively hate Gunnar. I know it is an ethnic name but I dislike the English connotation.
Both Stellan and Gunnar are Scandanavian names. We've also considered Sven and Axel to honor my Swedish heritage (Axel is a family name, too). But we only like Axel if you pronounce it the Swedish way (with a soft a) and not like Axl Rose, which is how everyone in America would pronounce it. Sven sounds weird with our French last name. Also, Frozen.
I feel like Maddox was just as weird as the others until Brangelnia named their son that, and now it's gotten more popular.
Turns out DH hates Dashiell because it makes him think of the politician with that last name. I think we're back to the drawing board.
