Horrible mother moment

DS was avoiding nap time, pouncing around on the guest bed, having a grand old time.  He jumps up, runs towards the pillows, and CRACK!  He ran headlong into the wall.

I laughed.

I tried to comfort him, but kept breaking into fits of giggles. An hour later, he's napping peaceably on my chest/lap, and I'm still trying not to laugh.

Poor little guy...  But that was hilarious.

No worries, today DS tumbled backwards out of the baby pool.  I laughed because it was the most uncoordinated, ungraceful series of events.  It kind of reminded me of something I would do.... now.

  • DD was trying to climb on the coffee table and I said No sternly and of course she started crying, throwing a fit (she hates to hear no or stop).  I laughed at her - awful I know, it's just so funny when she turns on the tears for no reason.  Oops . . .
  • Yeah...I think I laugh at DS at the wrong times on nearly a daily basis...

  • My little guy likes to walk in circles, I'm assuming he is getting the dizzy feeling and kind of likes it.  I had to laugh when he did that and then walked into the wall!  I felt bad that he was crying, but it was too funny to watch!
