~ Welcome to "The Bench" ~
A place for those of us who have to delay IF treatments, for whatever reason!
If you've been benched - come on over, have a seat, there's plenty of room!
Newly Benched? Welcome! Here's some questions for you below
1. What brings you over to the bench?
2. How long will you be staying with us?
3. How do you feel about being benched?
With us last week? Update us on how you're doing, whether it's IF related or not
Remember you're one week closer to being off the bench!!
QOTW: It's dinner time! Tell me about some awesome dishes you make at home!

1. What brings you over to the bench? A 40mm cyst on my baseline ultrasound last week.
2. How long will you be staying with us? Hopefully just a few more weeks! I have 15 days of BCPs left, and if my cyst is gone, then I'll start my first injects cycle with IUI 3.1.
3. How do you feel about being benched? I'm pretty bummed. I was so, so upset at first. I've stopped crying and am trying to pass the time, but I'm definitely counting down the days.
QOTW: It's dinner time! Tell me about some awesome dishes you make at home!
My specialty is enchiladas! I dip both sides of a flour tortilla in enchilada sauce, wipe off the excess sauce, fill it will filling and then roll it up. Then I pour extra enchilada sauce over the top and top with some cheese and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees! For the filling I have done ground beef with sautéed onion, or shredded chicken with sautéed peppers and onion with seasoning. The possibilities are endless. :-)
@SweetieShellieH I'm glad you're getting close to another SA! Will you be off the bench completely if the results are good??
@aves0708 I'm so sorry about your loss. I agree, it is hard to wrap your mind around being benched for more than a cycle. I hope they let you start trying ASAP!
1. After nearly 3 years of TTC, 4 IUIs, 3 fresh IVFs, and one FET with donor embryos, we've decided it's time to look into further testing before doing any more treatments. I am waiting for my appointment with Dr. Kwak-Kim a Reproductive Immunologist. Once those tests are back and she gives us a treatment plan we will move on to a frozen donor egg cycle. Our eggs are being donated privately, so right now I am also working with a lawyer to draw up a transfer of ownership agreement.
2. Hopefully only 5 or 6 months. My appointment with Dr. KK is August 27th and my follow up is October 3rd. Since my clinic does batched cycling, the earliest we could cycle is November, but it will depend on if Dr. KK's plan requires treatment before cycling.
3. I hate treatment breaks, I feel like I am not doing anything productive. I had a 6 month break between IUI #1 and #2, but at least then I had RE consults and testing that needed to be done.
QOTW: Yesterday was rainy and dreary out so I decided to make Chicken Cassarole. It was yummy and I have leftovers for lunch today.
TTC #1 since August 2011

PAIF/SAIF Welcome!
Our camping trip and a work trip are scheduled right in the way of treatments for the next two cycles. We are waiting until January to move forward with IVF anyway, so slowing down treatments and trying a couple more IUI's over the next 5 months is probably best anyway.
Until August, hoping to dive into a femara/inject IUI immediately after.
QOTW: Can't think of anything in particular, but I do love when we make pulled pork nachos...mmmm
Unexplained IF, Hypothyroidism
