Exercise during twin pregnancy..

How are all the twin momma's doing with exercising? I am almost 28 weeks and I am still trying to lift my 5lb weights, do prenatal yoga and walk...walking is starting to be a little challenging due to so much PRESSURE! What does your typical week look like with your exercise regime?

  • I walked everyday and did prenatal yoga up to 36 weeks when I was induced.  I definitely moved slower toward the end, but I also enjoyed that time outside everyday.  My only suggestion - Just do what feels good.

  • I was told to stop everything except prenatal yoga and walking at about 12 weeks. At 28 weeks I was put on modified bed rest so I had to quit both of those except doing occasional yoga poses to stretch.

    HSG, bloodwork, SA-possible blockage in right tube Continue TI July 2012 August 2012: Clomid 50mg + TI=bfn, switched RE September 2012: Redo HSG-blockage in right tube confirmed November 2012: Clomid 25mg, Bravelle + Trigger + IUI= ectopic pregnancy December 2012: emergency laparoscopy and D&C, removed right tube 2 more IUI's-one bfn, one CP IVF #1=CP FET#1=BFN IVF#2-converted to FET due to PGS testing and high progesterone levels. Only one good embryo from PGS-didn't survive thaw. transferred 2 embryos from IVF #1=BFP! 2 yolks sacs seen at 5w4d sonogram!
  • Between working and my (then) 2yo, I didn't do much more than going for family walks. I had been pretty active before that - I ran my 3rd half marathon of the year a week before I found out I was pg - but it was winter and I was exhausted.
