I'm 8 weeks pp from a c section and still cannot do any lower ab exercises anyone else in this boat? I just tried to do a plank...and it's just not happening. Both too weak and painful.
Some how I don't ever think we'll be able to. They call it the c-shelf for a reason, your going to see it your whole life. Even a year after my first c/s I couldn't do crap so I'm really just expecting it to be even worse this time.
9 weeks post c-section, this was #4, so my abs aren't as sore, but not able to do as much. I am doing an ab challenge this month and I have to break up the ab work throughout the whole day so I don't feel like I'm going to die.
I've been lifting and running 2 miles daily and doing my crunches, so I was like, yea....I can do this.....FAIL. glad to hear I'm. It the only one. I feel like I could do this after my last c section but I don't specifically remember.
Eight weeks post c-section here and my lower abs are still super sore. I can lay on my stomach in bed now but laying on the floor for LO's tummy time I have to be on my side. Stairs are sometimes painful still too. I did manage to do a big grocery run all by myself this week! Otherwise I am just now starting some longer walking in my neighborhood or at the mall. It's all slowly coming back.
Sounds like you are having a rough go of it and I hope your soreness goes Away soon! My sister played softball three weeks pp after c section.....I could not believe it and wasn't sure why. In the hell she did!
I'm 9 weeks pp & just starting to feel good. Lower abs are still sore but manageable. I've been running since 5 weeks pp & every time I first get going it feels like those lower abs don't want to pick up my legs! Once I'm going for a bit everything starts to feel ok tho. I joined stroller strides a week ago & I think that has made a huge difference in how my abs feel, doing various abs work has helped. A week ago I could not attempt a regular sit-up, this week I was able to do 10 in a row & hold a 45 sec plank! Slow but steady progress!
The thought of doing a crunch or running makes my abs hurt...walking up a hill still hurts for me. Almost 7 weeks pp.
whoever made the decision to have mat leave last 6 wks basically selected the absolute first 'good' day they had and made that the date. No one pp should have to put real pants back on at 6 weeks IMO.
I am 8 weeks PP and have started a few 30 day challenges consisting of crunches, push ups, mountain climbers, etc. No complaints here. I feel pretty good. My discomfort stems from my weight rather than my abs.
