Intro - My Daughter Caroline

Hi all,
I have reached a point where I feel ready to join this board. My daughter was prenatally diagnosed with Trisomy 13. She was a true miracle and I was blessed with 58 wonderful days with her. During our time together, I was able to get to know her little personality - she was never on strong pain medications and was a generally happy child. She loved music, sunshine, and cuddles. Although I wouldn't trade my time with Caroline for the world, it has made losing her that much harder. I physically hurt and I have never been more sad in my life. I know that she is in a better place without pain or feeding tubes, but I miss her so much. My house is so quiet and all I want to do is take care of her but I can't.
Thank you in advance for the support as I journey through this. I will do my best to be there for all of you as well.

IVF # 1(July 2012) = BFN
IVF # 2 (November 2012) = BFP (MIssed MC D&C @ 8w3d on 1/10/13)

My Pregnancy/Parenting BLOG TTC since 5/2011, BFP #1 12/3/11, M/C 12/7/11 @ 4wks 2d. Began seeing RE Sep 2012. October 2012 Metformin 1500 mg= ovulation on CD34 BFP#2 11/14/12 9DPO, EDD 7/26/13, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks, our angel born sleeping 3/24/13 @ 22wks 2d. BFP #3 7/4/13 8DPO EDD 3/22/14, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks. started insulin @16 wks. Our rainbow, born 3/19/14 @ 39wks 6d., we're so in love!

I "loved" your post because your daughter is beautiful and amazing. Thank you for sharing her with us.
I am so sorry for what happened to Caroline and to you. As a fellow Trisomy mommy (T18), I can relate to the devestation you felt, and the pain you continue to feel in an all too quiet house. I hear it gets better, let's hope this is true.
