PP migraines

Who else is suffering from these? Comment to commiserate and with your best tips on dealing.

My migraines went away during my pregnancy and are back with a vengeance now that baby has arrived. Tylenol and rest are the only things I've found that help. Would love to prevent them, but I've never been able to identify a trigger for mine. I think right now I'm getting them bc of PP hormones.

I got a couple the few days after delivery and also about two weeks later when I had some heavy bleeding. I took ibuprofen and thankfully for me they went away on their own. Perhaps you're anemic? That's always a trigger for me. The crazy hormonal shifts don't help either.

  • You bfing? Dehydration is usually the culprit in addition to all the shifting hormones.

    If I don't drink enough it's a guaranteed headache.
  • Yes. Hadn't had one since early college and got first one a couple days pp. I have had a handful since she was born all in the first three weeks. For me I think it was related to sleep and whacked hormones. Haven't had one for a couple weeks (knock on wood) hopefully due to slightly better sleep, less stressed and hormones getting leveled out. I took IB and Tylenol since you can take together and made sure to drink some caffeine and nap more than I was before. Caffeine has always helped mine a little. And water as mentioned by pp. Hope yours go away soon...
