    I don't understand either, but I'm really sorry. AMH doesn't mean everything, either. I'm a little confused why they are so hung up on that number alone. Yes, it can give some indication, but it's definitely not everything. And good AMH certainly won't guarantee a good cycle.

    Just giving you hugs, I'd be frustrated too!

     12/2/11 - IUI #1- BFN 
    8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
    My ovaries are just for decoration

     12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
     2/11/13 - DEmbryo FET #1 Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts. 
     2/16/13 - First BFP of my life @ 6dp5dt! EDD 10/30/13
     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    Snowflake baby is a girl! 
    Our beautiful Snowflake girl arrived on July 22, 2014!

    1.9 sounds like a decent AMH to me, how old is the donor? AMH is more a gage of egg quantity not quality, since she is 2x proven I don't think I would let 1.9 AMH stop things. Like @Liz4Paws said, AMH is an indicator and a good AMH doesn't guarantee a good cycle. I was 30 when I started IVF and my RE said my AMH was normal at 1.7 (I didn't respond well to stims and have poor egg quality, but that is another story).

    September 2012: Start IF testing

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    Honestly, I think getting a second opinion isn't a bad idea. This process is full of so many decisions that I know for me, I always wanted to know I covered as many bases as I could so I wouldn't regret anything later. Good luck...the whole thing sucks!

    I think Im a little confused?? If her AMH was 1.9 two and half years ago at age 22.5 (she's 25 now you said), I think Id be concerned. Yes she is a proven donor but it sounds like her fertility may be declining? 1.9 for 22.5 yrs old is low. Was her last cycle 2.5 yrs ago??? Curious where she tests at now. I know this is frustrating etc but you want a good cycle. I went to a crappy clinic where they allowed donors they shouldn't and that's why their success rate was 35%.... Just food for thought.

    I'm so sorry you are hitting the wall. I'm of the school of thought that a second opinion never hurts. I agree with Liz & Twink, that the AMH is just one of the possible clues. FWIW, my AMH has always been fan-freaking-tastic, but that hasn't amounted to anything. I was just retested at the end of May, and it came in at 6.3. (Don't ask me why, but that actually pissed me off!!) On the other side of the coin, I can totally see what McIrish is saying. We're going to start looking at profiles in July, so I don't really know what to expect of the process yet, but our #1 priority is finding someone who will give us the best odds. A previous pregnancy, well, that's good in my book! Keep your chin up, and don't be afraid to grill your doctor. Ask her why she's so fixated on that one piece of the puzzle? Is there more that she's seeing that you should know about?
