Hi there ladies! Had an ultrasound this morning, LO is measuring 7lbs15oz!! My doctor had finally taken pity on me and we set an eviction induction date for Monday at 6am!!

I'm still hoping he'll come on his own before then and get to wear the cute little father's day onesie I bought on groupon a few weeks ago. I guess a day late wont matter much. I'll have to sneak it into our hospital bag so that DH doesn't know it's there.

I do have older children, so PAIF brain doesn't get me as bad with things like holidays. But I am so looking forward to Father's Day and other holidays because they will be "firsts" for my DH.

I'm so jealous of you guys with outside babies already! Still waiting over here with no sign of impending labor. I had a NST & ultrasound yesterday, all looks well. Will have another appointment tomorrow & then we'll schedule my induction for Monday, eek!

I'll be pretty bummed if baby isn't out by Father's Day cause I was so excited to give DH a "number 1 Dad" shirt I bought him. Kind of feel silly giving it to him if baby isn't here. It will just have to be an after-birth present for him then.
I think these holidays, at least the 1st ones, are definitely a bigger deal for those of us who went through IF. I definitely got teary-eyed after I bought that shirt!

Just trucking along here- 2 days past my due date so far. My next appt is on Thurs. Physically it gets a bit harder every day, but mentally I was prepared to go late so I'm ok.

QOTW: I got DH a father's day present and will give it to him on Sunday whether baby is here or not. It's a onesie that says "Daddy's Drinking Buddy" with a pic of a sippy cup. It's like 3-6 month size so baby couldn't wear it yet anyway. Not sure if we will make plans to do anything with my Dad, we'll have to see how I'm feeling and whether LO has arrived yet or not. For me as a PAIFer Mother's Day was a bigger deal. DH was not as bothered by things like Father's Day.

eta: @presslove thanks for taking over the check in! Seems like there are so many outside babies but according to the list there are a lot of us still cookin'!

I'm still baking right along with the rest of you ladies. I'm due Saturday, so I'm hoping LO makes her appearance sometime this weekend. Last week, DH was all about her being here for Father's Day. Now, he says he can wait. I think reality is kicking in.

QOTW: I also bought DH a t-shirt for Father's Day. I hope they sent the right thing, because as soon as I saw the package I threw it in my hospital bag. Mother's Day was wonderful for me, especially after all of our IF issues. I want DH to have a special day, as well.

38 weeks 5 days here. I had a growth u/s at 38 weeks since I was measuring small but our baby boy was measuring in the 60 percentile at 7 pounds. Overall I still feel pretty good considering I have less than 10 days until my EDD, but I'm so ready to meet him already. I haven't had any contractions that I know of so I'm guessing it is still going to be awhile.

QOTW: As of now we don't really have plans for Father's Day, I think it will be a last minute thing depending on rather or not he is here or not, if not we will probably go to the ILs for lunch. I bought DH a Lego set (a tradition that I started with Christmas from the baby) and a card, kinda hoping he'll be here by then to make Father's Day more special. I agree with @whoberry, I think Mother's Day was a bigger deal to me than Father's Day is to DH.

Hi Ladies! After last week's rush of babies we seemed to have slowed down over here, though based on dates I suspect this next week is going to be another big one!

I'm 39w3d today and saw my OB this morning. I remain, for the 4th week in a row, at 80% effacement, and for the 2nd week in a row at 2-3 cm dilated. Because we are moving in 3 weeks (military, so there's no negotiating date unless DH goes without me -- NOT happening!) we started talking options because I am terrified at the thought of having to move a day or two or three post-partum. She said because my cervix is nice and ripe, and she's the OB at the hospital for a 24-hour shift on Friday, she recommends induction. Much to my surprise, I immediately agreed, and now I'm super excited!

If we weren't moving I'd be really upset about not letting him come in his own time and having to use meds, but he'll be just a day shy of his due date, I'll get my doctor (who I adore and trust implicitly), and I can give myself the best chance at getting decently healed before I'm in a scenario where physical activity is going to be necessary. (We have movers packing and moving us, but unpacking is on us, and getting settled is going to be important to not losing my mind.) It's now definitely just days until we meet this much anticipated baby -- it's so hard to believe even though I know it's him that's making my belly so huge and uncomfortable.

Being induced Friday means LO will be here by Father's Day. I have a feeling I'm going to be more of a emotional basket case than DH because part of me has always had doubts that we'd ever actually be able to have our baby, even though we didn't have nearly the journey that some of you girls did. Depending on when he comes out we will either be in the hospital or discharged to our first night at home on Sunday. I'm getting weepy just thinking about it! I was really on the fence whether or not to get DH a Father's Day gift this year, I'm so glad I did! I better wrap it! It's a little frame that says First Father's Day on the top and Daddy & Me on the bottom.

Hi ladies

Add me to the officially overdue club! In fact, I had even less signs of labor yesterday/last night than I'd had any night in memory. Crazy! Mentally both H and I are just done, the daily contractions with nothing really to show for it are just frustrating me. I don't even really try to time them anymore. ::::sigh:::: we go back to the OB tomorrow(Thursday) so FX we have some sort of progress by then or they will at least start talking about induction. I'd much rather go into labor on my own, but I just need an end in sight too!

Full moon is Friday night so I'm holding out hope for that!

QOTW: I do have a card and a small Father's Day gift for H. I figured that we would be so busy with a new baby that we wouldn't have a lot of time to celebrate, but he is really pumped about it being his first Father's Day. Hopefully we will actually have a baby by then, lol!

The twins are 5 weeks old and I am finally feeling fully myself again physically, minus the sleep deprivation. They are doing well too- Mumble is up to 5#10oz and Hugsy 7#3oz. We graduated from weekly weight checks with the pediatrician! Now Mumble goes next week since she is still so petite but Hugsy gets to go a whole month! Otherwise we are just finding our routine, which has been rough this week since it's y first week on my own, H is crazy busy and the period of purple crying has kicked in. But we are surviving.

QOTW: our Fathers Day celebration will be belated because my FIL is visiting this weekend and all he wants is to go out for a fancy dinner, which isn't logistically possible, so he and H will go out that evening and I will do a mini celebration for H later in the week. He made a huge deal out of Mothers Day for me (6 days after they arrived) but doesn't seem to feel Fathers Day is as important.

@lyracelesti‌ is the lump at the start or end of the incision? I saw the doc yesterday because of the lump/pain under the right side of my incision. He said it's where they tied the knot for the internal sutures. I could have gone my whole life without knowing that lol.

Hi ladies! The last couple of weeks have been crazy so I haven't had a chance to update until now. Short story: our baby was born 3 weeks early on June 2 via unplanned/unexpected c-section. Long story: 2 Saturdays ago I had a decrease in fetal movement, no fetal movement for 4 hours despite eating and laying on my side to try to get baby to move. I called our OB after hours number and they told me to immediately go to labor and delivery to be monitored. Once at L&D they hooked me up to a heart rate monitor for baby and a contraction monitor. On the heart rate monitor they noticed that baby was having decelerations in her heart rate every so often, which was concerning. They did a quick ultrasound which showed that everything looked good (baby's movement, fluid levels, etc.) They kept me in L&D for a day while we waited for MFM to open on Monday to have a more detailed ultrasound and to get their opinion on how to proceed. During the ultrasound at MFM they noticed that baby's deceleration in her heart rate was sometimes correlated to my contractions. They also measured her and estimated her weight to be 4 lbs 9 ounces, the average weight at 33 weeks, not 37 weeks. They decided that the best course of action was to deliver her since they didn't have an explanation for the decelerations in her heart rate and she wasn't growing as expected. And they wanted to deliver her via c-section since they didn't want to induce me due to baby's decelerated heart rate during contractions because that could potentially lead to an emergency c-section during labor. During this entire time I was so scared and anxious and worried - just wanting a healthy baby as the outcome. The c-section went better than I imagined and our baby was born on June 2, weighing 4 lbs 7 ounces. She had to spend 1 week in the NICU due to her small size and being unable to maintain her body temperature at first. But overall they were very happy with her health, saying she was healthier and doing better than they thought she would be. This past Tuesday we took her home and we have been getting settled in and adjusting to the new schedule. I never knew what sleep deprivation was until now! She had her first pediatrician visit yesterday and is now 4 lb 11 ounces. Due to her size we are BF and supplementing right now. We are so in love with her!
