Just curious, I had one, then she wasn't available when I went into labor so I had a back up one. In all honesty I think I ended up with the right doula during labor. My other question is would you invite them to your child's christening/ baptism.
I had one, though it took me forever to decide to hire one, and was so glad I did. Personally I will not be inviting her to LOs baptism. To me that would be like inviting the pediatrician. (Unless you are friends with her/know her socially outside of you hiring her.)
I had a doula and she was wonderful. However I wouldn't invite her to LO's baptism. Our church doesn't do infant baptism anyway, but that just seems like something more for family and close friends.
I had one - loved her. Not inviting her bc we are baptizing LO back at home where dh and I got married which is 4 hours away. Although I don't think I'd invite her if it was closer... Not something I even thought about I guess!
Had one and loved it. She came home to have lunch with me and see LO but I would not invite her to baptism (even of it was home and not a 6h flight away).
