Pregnant after 35

Weekly check-in 6/11

How's it going this week, ladies?

1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

2) Age at delivery? (optional)

3) Any other children? Furbabies?

4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

QOTW: What are three non-essentials that you absolutely want in your bag when you arrive at the hospital/birthing center? Or, if you are planning a home birth, what are three things you want in the room?

Re: Weekly check-in 6/11

  • 1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    8/8, 31w5d, pineapple

    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
    39

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
    One sweet dog

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
I feel pretty good, although I am slowing down a little bit and definitely feeling bigger.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Raves: DH and I went on a 7-mile hike this past weekend, and I am so proud of myself. One guy on the trail said, "Oh, great, we're being shown up by an expectant mother." :) I am a regular hiker, so I wasn't pushing myself outside of my comfort zone or anything, and I did go slower than normal.

Mini rant: My Zumba instructor this morning said, "What, no baby yet?" I told her I still had two months to go! I guess this means I am looking large. :-D

QOTW: What are three non-essentials that you absolutely want in your bag when you arrive at the hospital/birthing center? Or, if you are planning a home birth, what are three things you want in the room?
Our Kindle, so DH and I can play Scrabble between contractions; My smartphone so I can listen to music and maybe even check in here; makeup, so I can have some non-scary, postpartum photos taken (even though that might be wishful thinking)

  • How's it going this week, ladies?

    1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 10-29-14, 20 weeks (woo- hoo half way done!!!) Banana

    2) Age at delivery? (optional) 40

    3) Any other children? Furbabies? Three beauty queens and a silver lab!

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? Feeling good some RLP and so, so hot here!

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Tomorrow is our A/S so I'm excited for that and to make sure baby is healthy in there!  We are team green so it will be uneventful in that respect.  I also have a regular OB appt on Friday.  Excited to go to Montana in July to visit our good friends!  Going to be interesting flying with 3 kids!

QOTW: What are three non-essentials that you absolutely want in your bag when you arrive at the hospital/birthing center? Or, if you are planning a home birth, what are three things you want in the room? I would die without some sort of lip balm or chapstick, I also need ear-plugs to help me sleep (I use them every night since I sleep with a grizzly bear) and I bring little framed pictures of my girls as focal points during labor.  It helps me remember what I get at the end of all the hard work!

Have a great week ladies and stay cool if you're in a hot zone!!

Great!  A bit lazy in the evenings.  Feeling movement this past week, too.  Around 2 weeks earlier than last time!

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?

Just finished the second round of blood work for the IPS.  Other than that... MW on June 30...  and anatomy scan on July 14.

I didn't care about a damn thing when I got to the hospital last time.  After the birth I was glad to have some nice clothes and my toiletries.  But upon arriving at the hospital, I just wanted it all to be over!  lol.

1)Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 12/31/14 due date, 11 weeks, size of a lime

    Age at delivery? 39

Children or furbabies? One cat moby and one pug rocky

How you feeling? Exhausted, constipated, sleep deprived from peeing all night.

Upcoming appt, milestones? Rants or raves? No appts for a few weeks. Just need to get back to exercise. After gaining weight the nurse gave me a plan to keep my weight from skyrocketing. I have been having heartburn so she has me eating every two hours and it is helping.

QOTW: My makeup for photo ops lol, my personal robe I have been living in, and my phone

    2) Age at delivery? (optional). 39

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
    Nope.

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
Feeling great! Excited to keep pushing towards the end of first tri.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Not yet! Rant: bathing suit. Just that. :-/

  • 1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
Jan 24.  I am 7 weeks, 5 days. Baby is the size of a blueberry (and can I say the size of the fruits in the later months are starting to scare me!)

    2) Age at delivery? (optional)
    37

    3) Any other children? Furbabies?
Nope - this is our first!

    4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
Ehh - not awesome, not horrific.  I have good days and bad.  I have gotten the fatigue under control somewhat - or just am used to it.  The nausea comes and goes but is getting worse.

    5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Next appt isn't until the 24th.  We have our final u/s with the RE then and in the afternoon my first appt with the nurse-midwife.  Only quasi-rant - could have my final u/s next week but DH is traveling and wants to be there hence it isn't until the 24th.  Annoyed since that is one more week we have to wait but of course it is really sweet that DH wants to be there.

QOTW: What are three non-essentials that you absolutely want in your bag when you arrive at the hospital/birthing center? Or, if you are planning a home birth, what are three things you want in the room?
I have no idea - I have not even gotten close to thinking about this yet.  Though definitely will be in a hospital
