Father's Day

Are any of you (or your LOs) doing anything for their dads for Father's Day?

I'm having a hard time with this one. DD already made him a card. I'm not sure that I feel compelled to do a whole lot more.

    We're doing *nothing* for BD. Although, I feel like I should do something for BF since he is basically her dad...

    He will get whatever the kids make him in daycare. It's No longer my responsibility to do anything for him (although I realize it would be nice). Plus, he did nothing for me for Mother's Day.

    So I say - what did bd do for your Mother's Day? That should tell you....

    @mrslynnyd he sent me a $50 Amazon gift card, which was nice. A hell of a lot more than I expected.

    I'm just not sure. It's not like he's around much since he lives over 1000 miles away. He's not really been "dad of the year". But I don't want to create a wedge between DD and her dad.

    @jellybean529‌ I think mailing him the hand made card and maybe a picture of DD in a frame (I'm talking dollar store frame) would be thoughtful enough. It's not about the dollar amount but since he did something extra for you, I think you could/should do the same. In my opinion.

    Yeah...I was thinking of having DD make him a frame and then putting one of her school pictures in it. Like one of those popsicle stick frames. I'll probably do that.

    Hah! I plan on doing something mega fucking awesome for myself. I am E's mom and dad so Happy Father's Day to me. Mc has not acknowledged ANYTHING. My bday. Val day. Moms day. Cmas when I was pregs.New years when I was pregs. nada. Screw him. I hope Father's Day is a painful reminder of how much he sucks at life.

    Oh yes.  I'm making an appointment with my attorney today to get the child support order rolling again.  He was in jail for months and has been out now for 6 weeks and back to work for 5.  He has given me about $100 to help with DD since he's been back to work.  This week he lied to me about when he got his check (I have access to his bank account.  Duh.) so I threw a shit fit yesterday and he squeezed another $100 out of his ass. This didn't include the money he owes me for getting HIS new grandbaby gifts.  I told him to go fuck himself.  I also told him he is no longer welcome to come visit with DD since he doesn't feel the need to help support her.  He told me to stop blaming everyone else for my problems.  Um, what?!  See you in court, asshole.  Oh, and Happy Father's Day!   :D

    @tig594‌ go get your money, girl. They aren't going to pony up on their own accord no matter what in my opinion (I'm sure there are exceptions to this).
    @eg214‌ I used to buy my mom Father's Day gifts too cause she was both for me. You deserve something nice!
