Aw: There is no sweeter sound...

...than hearing your baby's heart beat for the first time!!! As a FTM, it was the best moment so far.

I called my doctor after three days of intense cramping and they brought me in to make sure they could find it. It took two nurses, but when they did it was 170bpm.

I feel like for the first time this pregnancy I can finally relax. I'm almost 13 weeks and really feel like baby is finally safe.

    I'm a FTM as well and I heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday for the first time and I was a blubbering mess. The nurse even started to cry.

    I can't wait to hear the heartbeat for the first time!  I am 13 weeks, but just had my first ultrasound yesterday where I could see the heart.  Next appointment on July 1st is when I will get to hear it!

    It's a great sound. When DH heard it for the first time he just said, "It sounds like a washing machine."
