ITCHY breasts! Leaking coming?

I'm pretty sure I get a new weird pregnancy symptom every day!

I'm almost 29 weeks, and this week, I've noticed my breasts, mostly my nipples, are super itchy. I'm wondering if I should expect to start leaking soon? I bought some breast pads in case I need them in a pinch, and I'm considering wearing them when I'm out so I'm not unpleasantly surprised and embarrassed.

Also wondering if it's worth getting some Lanolin cream. I have plenty of cocoa butter, and I've just been using that. It helps a bit, but if Lanolin is much better, I might just buy it now instead of post-partum.

    I've had itchy nipple my entire pregnancy and no leaking so it's not an indicator.

    Yeah, I too itch like crazy, but no leaking.  I do get crusty nipples, but that's about it.

    Not sure, I never had itchy boobs or nipples, and I leak like crazy!

    It comes and goes for me, but recently has come back and it's intense lol sooo itchy! But I haven't had any leakage yet. I just lotion up whenever I can, I'm sure lanolin won't be a bad thing so go for it! Also I think the heat has made my skin a bit more dry so that doesn't help much

    I have had itchy boobs for quite awhile, never really itchy nipples though .I've been leaking for a while now too. Not enough that I've broken out the nursing pads, but enough that I need to wash the stains out of my bra...

    But no I don't think the itchiness is an indicator of leaking. I didn't even realize I was leaking until I had two wet spots in my tshirt (no bra) one evening that DH noticed. He was a little weirded out I'm afraid...

    Itching is usually indicative of stretching. Use lotion!

    Mine itch too but no leaking yet. I just lotion them the same time I lotion the belly.

    Lots of itching, no leaking. I would hold off on the lanolin for now, only because you can use another cream and it can be pretty expensive compared to a lotion. That being said, if it gives you relief and you're not worried about the cost as much, go for it. Lansinoh is the best in my book.
