Who's done with school? Still have a bunch of time left?
I am done this Friday & can.not.wait. I am up for a couple hours in the middle of the night most nights (ahem, now.) and by 2pm I am exhausted! once I am off, I can take a nap with dd if I want. I think that will help a lot!

The only thing that is stressing me out is packing up in an organized way since I won't be back until October.

I'm technically "done" - no kids anymore - but I have to go back at least today and finish some paperwork. Then I have a drama camp that starts next week and goes for three weeks, but still, there's definitely not as much pressure/stress with that.

The kids were finished Friday, but I have training today, Wednesday, Thursday, and next Tuesday. I'm finished with everything for this year, but I'm still getting things figured out for the sub to start out next year. (We had a thread about that somewhere before.) I'm hoping that won't take me much longer, since I've really been working on it for about 3 months!

My kids have been out since Wednesday but I'm a special ed teacher so ESY begins in 2 weeks. 6 weeks of 4 hour summer school and then I'm done until late November!!

First day of summer break today! I'm so thankful, at 32 weeks, I was exhausted coming home and my poor house was starting to suffer! I'm excited prepare for baby and relax. I teach a 3 day class at the end of June for the Ohio Graduation Test but it's only 3 hours each day.

My last day with kids was May 30th and then my last day period was June 3. It should have been much earlier but we had a truckload of snow days.

Finished up last Wednesday but I'm teaching summer school. Hoping all my fellow teachers friends enjoy their time off this summer! Hard to imagine that next school year we'll be mommies.

Done! Kids were out Wed and we were out Thursday! Woo hoo! Now to take our annual vacation up north for a few weeks while I still can. Bring on the lazy days with my sweet little girl!

I've been done since May 30th and don't go back to teaching until November 10th!! I will of course have a few days here and there I need to go in to get my room ready which I plan to keep to a bare minimum. And need to make lesson plans and then a couple teacher work days, but I won't be starting with the kids. Ready to relax and get ready for this baby!!

We finished on Friday! I still have to get my room fixed up for next year because I am taking off the whole first semester. I plan to spend the first few weeks of summer slowly getting my lesson plans all set up for the sub. Yay summer B-)

Down in Memphis, we've been out since May 23. While it's nice to not stress out so much, I'm finding myself getting bored with all of the extra time on my hands.

Well, you are all making me super jealous. My last day with my kids is NEXT Wednesday, and I have to go back the next day to close files. But then I'll be back more because I have to move my classroom.

My husband's former students graduate on Wednesday. He is on the graduation council, so we are attending graduation. His current students finish on Thursday.

Friday is our last day, but today is our last full day (Tues-Fri we get out at 12). I'm so excited to finally be done and relaxing by the pool and getting things ready for this LO!!

I work for a private school though, and we didn't finish until last week.

We were done last week! I have most of my plans together for my sub. I will have to get my room ready for next year and I plan on working the "teacher workdays" before students start in august. Unless LO is here already! I won't start the year with the kids though, so I am essentially done until November 12

I've been done since the 16th of May! Which also means we go back the first week of August, which is also the same week as my c-section. I've GOT to get going on getting my room set up and lessons plans for next year.... I'm procrastinating until after harvest is over!

No AC? Oh my...I can't even imagine. I hope the weather stays mild for you, too! I really think that if I went to interview and a school didn't have AC, I may reconsider...partially because I have terrible allergies and can't have open windows, but also just because I can't imagine trying to think straight when I'm hot and miserable and sticky. That can't be good for teachers OR students!

I am so jealous of many of you. Like @redhorizon343, I'm in NY and my district doesn't let out until June 30th. The last day with students is the 26th, then teachers have PD on the 27th and ha;f the day on the 30th. I am also hoping for a break with heat. My school does not have air conditioning and my classroom has a giant wall of windows where only 2 of them open. It's like a sauna in there!

Here in Alberta, Canada the students aren't done until June 26th. My last day will be the 27th. Lots to pack up as I will be gone the whole year next school year.

7 more days here! I had a job interview today... That was interesting at this stage of pregnancy. We'll see what the Fall has in store for me. Congrats to those of you that are done! Fingers crossed for no snissing to the rest of us until our school year ends!

I didn't realize how early other schools get out! We're there until June 24 with the kids. I am counting down the days! I'll be 31 weeks with twins at the end. My feet are about to fall off and we don't have ac either. Luckily, we've been blessed with pretty mild weather so far. Congrats to all the teachers who have made it through and to those who are almost there! We deserve our nice relaxing summer break!

I'm super jelly of you ladies who are done. Last student day is June 17, I'm done on the 23rd, thanks to our extremely snowy winter. (Although I wasn't complaining in January when I was totally exhausted all the time and could stay home and nap) I'm also in a school with no AC, but our hottest day so far has only been 90. Some years, we've hit 98 before school lets out do I'm thankful we've been lucky. Our custodians are planning to wax my floors first this year so I will be able to access it whenever I want starting in July to set up for the sub. I have a meeting with our principal on Monsay to start reviewing applications so hopefully we will find someone good. ONLY 9 MORE DAYS! But whose counting... :0)

Is anybody not going back next year? My last day was last Friday and it felt so strange packing out for good. We don't get paid maternity leave here, I didn't want to start the year with a sub, and the school I work at is about a 45 min commute from where I live. I had only been at this school since November (military move) so I didn't feel strong ties to it.
Anyway, my plan is to take a couple of years off with the baby and hopefully find something in a district closer to where I am. Still, I feel so odd knowing I won't be teaching at all next year!

I just finished yesterday! It's so nice being home. I also won't be back until October, but I'm going to take my husband one day in August and set everything up the way I'd like it...I might even try to go for inservice days because I'm not due until the 29th.
