Timing for baby #2

My LO is 13 months and we're thinking about having another baby. Is it too soon?

My initial thought is if you are questioning it then no. But then again I don't think that there is ever a perfect time either.

For me it's too soon. I don't plan on ttc for at least another year and a half.

My H and I had originally agreed to TTC when DD was 1 yr. She is incredibly demanding, isn't eating much and won't wean from BFing (she won't drink out of a bottle or sippy cup either). She also wakes up every 2-3 hours. I am so drained and I want to get some of these issues resolved before we try for #2.

My h wishes I was pregnant already but I'm not ready. I think if DD was a bit more laid back, was weaned and was only waking up say, once a night, I could handle it. He is frustrated with me but he doesn't understand how tired I am because I take care of DD w/o help from him 99% of the time. Being pregnant is exhausting so I need to be getting better sleep before I get KU.

Like @pcat said, there are so many factors to consider. Do you feel like things with your LO are going well and are fairly manageable? Do you think that both you and your H are ready for a newborn again? Good luck

That is such a personal decision. There are many women on this board with 2u2, who are currently pregnant, or are TFAS. There are also many women who are one and done. And then every combo in between. Do it or don't.

ETA: I just looked up OP's post history. She was posted about pregnancy issues on the Nov. 2012 BMB and Jan 2013 BMB....MUD? JK Totally Read that wrong. Too much MUD on the bump lately I'm suspicious of everyone.

I just didn't appreciate the sarcasm and feeling like people are mocking me. I come here to ask a question and people jump on the chance to be rude.

Maybe because it's a question that only you know the answer to. How do a bunch of internet strangers know if the time is right for you and your SO to start trying for baby #2??

I guess what I was asking for was advice from women who have 2U2 or are TTC and what their experience was.

Everyone's situation is different, asking someone else if they were ready for 2U2 has no bearing on your family.

I was laughing with you, not at you. My May baby already has a younger sibling, and honestly-- so much depends on your personality, that of your LOs, and your support system. It would be very hard to generalize.

I struggle with this decision everyday. Like PP said it is up to you & your SO. We had "planned" that I would be pregnant as soon as LO turned one but right now we are looking to move , purchasing a new car , have personal family issues that didn't come into play when spoke about when we'd have the second. I hope to TTC in a few months, everyones situation is different and if your questioning it maybe it isn't time.
