Teething help?

So I'm not prepared for DS to be teething already, but sure enough those bottom two teeth are trying to break through. Anyone else dealing with early teeth? DS is only ~7weeks and can't even really chew on anything to help. I've been giving him a little tylenol and rubbing his gums. Not sure what else to do for him.

Re: Teething help?

  • Would that help you think? He's still only sucking, we haven't moved to chewing motions at all yet

  • Maybe, I'll have to try. Thanks for the tip about te teething paci too! I'm going to go look at them now. I'm scared to try oragel or anything because of how little he is still so I'm trying to stay away from meds

  • No advise but my LO is 7 weeks also and she has been sucking on my finger where it rubs against her gums. I tried to do teethers but she doesn't want them. Can they really be getting teeth this early?

You could try the amber teething necklaces. I used one with DS1 and it seemed to help take the edge off of the pain for him.

  • You could give teething tablets a try.you just put on on inside of cheek and it nums the mouth.

  • DS1 was just shy of 3 months when he started. Try freezing pacis. Don't use orajel. Our pedi specifically named that as a no no.

Congrats to my GP Sister from another mister Bruinsbabe!!

  • I agree, Orajel is a no-no, but our pedi approved the homeopathic teething tablets that dissolve in their mouth or in water.
