Baby crying when pooping?

I've mentioned it to my Dr... he didn't seem concerned... which was shocking... and made me a concerned...

Anyway, my LO is on Enfamil Gentlease.. and this past week has been crying for the 30 seconds when she poops. She's happy as a clam as I'm changing her..but it breaks my heart while it's happening.

Wondering if I should be switching formulas?? This happen to anyone else's LO?

    Are there babies that don't cry when they poop at least some of the time?

    Mine does this too. She has gas a lot and cries sometimes if she has bad gas or is pooping. It actually wakes her up so I feel bad for her. She's breastfeed with the exception of one formula bottle a night so I'm not sure it's tied to the formula.

    She never cried when pooping when I was BF & supplementing.... it was just the last 2 weeks or so that it started... so I was concerned... but if it's normal.. then guess there's nothing to worry about.

    Same...on Gentlease and my LO has been very fussy/ cranky lately. We used gripe water and did white grape juice mixed with nursery water which allowed him to poop twice last night. Idk if its the pooping or the fact that we just hit 6 wks and he's "leaping."

It hasn't gotten better and it's worse when LO doesn't go for 2-3 days. Also poo seems really thick for a baby. But I'm a FTM so that might be okay.
    Ours is thick too... like clay like... hard to wipe.

    I had the same issue with gentlease. We switched to Similac Sensitive and now he rarely has the pooping cries.

    We were thinking of switching to Similac Sensitive! How was the transition??

    Mine does the same. I mentioned it to her dr and he said "you try having a bowel movement while laying down. It's not so easy." Haha. He's got a point there.
