We had our consultation with our RE today. It went well, exactly as I expected, just orders for testing. I go in for blood work Monday to check my progesterone level and depending on that level, start provera so AF will come so I can schedule a HSG. DH has to go in for another semen analysis then we'll go back to the RE and chat. DH has been wanting to try one IUI and I'm not so convinced that would be in our best interest. RE said if DH doesn't show significant increases in count, IVF would be our best bet.
I had forgotten how much lower some of DH's numbers were from his first sample in Jan 2012 and his sample for IVF in June 2012. The worst being morph which went from 19% normal to 4% normal in that short amount of time. All in all it seems like we're doing IVF again but we've got another $10K-ish to save before we can do it. I told DH our goal is within the year so we don't have to repeat all of this testing again.
RE did mention that this time around he would start me on a higher dose of stims to see if I respond better. Last time they were expecting 8 eggs, got 6 and only one grew to a hatching blast before transfer, the rest arrested overnight on day 5. He was also so sweet today requesting I get out my phone and show him several pictures of H and just ate them up! I love that even if he wasn't 100% interested, he acted like it and takes care of his patients.

As for saving money, we are starting with what we normally pay in daycare. Since I'm a teacher, we take H out of DC for the summer so we'll put that amount back each week. DH also switched companies recently and got a $4.00 an hour raise, so the difference in both pays will also be put back. DH does side work (he's an AC technician) so as those periodically come in, that money will be put back as well.
The fall is really going to get us. We will be paying DC again, side work falls off. We will just have to really tighten up even more, if that's possible and find money somewhere to save.
