Help me pick a backsplash!

We started demo on May 1 and had a new, beautiful, fully functional kitchen on May 31. My problem now is picking out a backsplash. I have always wanted to do an almond colored subway tile. I'm torn about whether to do a flat or beveled tile. Can you help?

Hmmmm, I like both, but I think I prefer flat.

This, but since it's a back splash not the counter top I don't think cleaning will be that bad.

Beautiful kitchen! The flat looks kind of plain to me so I vote beveled.

I prefer beveled. I think flat looks too much like my school did. I didn't like school. I think it also looks a bit dated.
I love white tile though.

I don't believe the beveled will get any dirtier than the flat. There are no seams or anything, just the grout lines that would be on both.

I wish I could order both to see them in the kitchen and just return the other one, but this is all special order and can't be returned.

@ScoutNumbers05‌ My mom keeps trying to talk me into something "jazzier", but we have a lot of color everywhere else and the house isn't very large. I'm afraid a mosaic would be too much.

Oh lord, I just talked to my mom and she thinks the flat subway tile looks cheap. She wants me to at least get a rustic looking tile. Now I think that would get filthy quick!

flat - soo much grease, grime & chunks of food get even on flat surfaces without grout. The thought of cleaning the beveled tires me out. Less nooks & crannies for the dust to settle on the flat as well.
