My pedi said last week to max her out at 16 ounces. Her bedtime bottle alone is 9-10 ounces (won't take less than that), and not to mention needs a bottle when she naps, and sometimes a few ounces in the MOTN. She's probably getting closer to 24 ounces, and also 3, nice sized meals (plus a snack). She eats a lot, but she's really active and has stayed around the 50-60th percentile. Anybody else on the same boat? How many ounces is your LO getting as of right now? Can someone justify on as to why I would want to cut her milk intake, if she's gaining the appropriate weight?
Re: How much WCM is your LO getting?
ETA: I believe our pediatrician told us 16-24 ounces, but I need to double check at our appointment this week.
This. We went in for our one year check up on the 3rd and this is what I was told to give her.
As PP said 16 oz is the MINIMUM oz per day, 24 oz is the maximum.
We were at 24 ounces and are trying to cut it down a little bit and replace it with more solids.
Note, I'm not a dr, but that is what a dr told me.
I'm visiting a friend who told me her pedi said minimum of 8 ounces, but that seems wrong to me.
We had out 1 year app today and my pedi said 16-24oz.
