We've had 3 weekends in a row of parties and traveling, neither of which my 3 y/o does well with. I cooked lunch for 30 over the weekend for DD2's baptism, which went really well. Needless to say, I'm exhausted. I'm so glad FIL has my 16 m/o out on a walk right now!
Between my 2 year old had a sore throat all night waking up which she never does & nursing at 2 & 430 I got exactly 3 hours of sleep. Said eff it and called into work. SO took DSD to the drs & Chase and I napped. Should do laundry. Don't understand why MIL says he's always awake during the day because he just nurses and sleeps with me. Played on his mat and he was out in 2 mins during tummy time
Can't complain really, tired but that's par for the course these days! Managed to get LO & myself to our stroller strides class at 10am for a nice workout. Highly recommend these classes to anyone looking for a workout group. Looking fwd to getting LO down for his nap then I will have mine!
Morning was good...up at 6ish with LO. He ate and then we took a nap while watching the Today Show. Woke up before 9am....he ate and I had half cuppa Joe.
Went to Grandma's house...played on the mat and danced. Grabbed lunch with my Mom while LO napped. Took short walk and then had baby from Hell. He cried and screamed!! He couldn't be consoled so we left and went home.
Ate and then screamed and cried until he passed out on my chest.....currently stuck in latter position. SIGH.
I need another weekend after having the in laws invade our space. Today's massive headache and high temperatures outside meant an extremely unhappy baby girl.
I can't believe today is only Monday! DH is traveling this week, DS decided he didn't want to stay asleep last night so I was up almost every hour to either feed or get him back to sleep... He's been spitting up a lot so I've started stopping him to burp often which PISSES HIM OFF!
I did get a 5 mile walk in at the park (while he slept) and a quick shower and hoping to make it to the grocery store soon. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew DH would be home soon, but it sucks to do it alone. (Hats off to those that do it along often/all the time)

After two early wake ups baby and I slept til 9, then I worked out while she had tummy time ate and napped with DH. Then she has taken two long naps this afternoon so I have showered, done dishes, made/confirmed all my work appointments for the week, ate lunch and fed her a few times. Next on the agenda, dinner, dessert and maybe a baseball game. I feel so accomplished.
DD slept great last night but besides one hour long nap on me hasn't napped at all today. I just nursed her to sleep and apparently she feels the same way about today as I do.
Woke up at 5am after a restless night. I was so freaked out waking up constantly to check on DD2, who was perfectly fine, but slept 10hrs straight! So I got up and made creme brûlée oatmeal in the crockpot. It was fabulous. Then went and got DD2s ears pierced. Now we are inside with the AC since it's 108 outside. And I fully plan to have a beer and a bubble bath tonight.
I got nothing accomplished or at least I feel that way. Trying to work from home is a joke with a LO that no longer likes long naps and apparently hates when I'm on the phone. I'm pretty sure I smell bad and there is no way a shower is anywhere in my future before DH gets home after 9pm. Welcome home honey!
Went to the neighborhood ice cream shop for ice cream with my toddler. He repaid me by not napping. But he did stay in his room for a bit, allowing me some quality baby snuggle time.
Got the all clear at my 6 week check up this morning! And my mom was visiting so she watched both kids while I went. Only the 3rd time I've left the house by myself since dd arrived.
We had a pretty good Monday. Went to the daycare to turn in paperwork and spend some time getting comfortable there, then to Target for some shopping, then to Lowes for a porch swing because DD loved my mom's swing when we went to visit over the weekend.
Going well even though LO got up every 1.5-2.5 hours to feed last night (growth spurt?). Scheduled a bunch of appointments and ordered a grocery delivery online. Spent some time reading Harry Potter to LO and managed to get a shower, full makeup, and hair done while LO napped. I also made and ate a real lunch today. LO fell asleep in his rockaroo and I'm considering writing thank yous for the non shower gifts that have trickled in, but will probably binge watch Breaking Bad or watch last nights GOT episode instead. When DH gets home we will grill.
I went to work today! LO was home with DH all day. I got to go out to lunch with work friends and talk to adults. It was awesome. I wouldn't say I'm "back at work" because I'm a teacher so I'm not really back until the fall, but we 3 snow days to make up this week so I decided to go in. I'm so glad I did!
Posted earlier but yesterday sucked! When SO got home, I ran some errands. LO pooped twice...thank God...while I was gone. Seemed tochelp a bit, but it was short-lived. Screamed for an hour.... SO took him for two car rides and he ended up sleeping in his carseat. Sigh.
