    I'm Ashi from Sri Lanka and I'm 25yrs old. I'm just out from the university and not looking for a job.
    Now that I'm pregnant(due date 1st of October,2014) I'm enjoying my pregnancy..... :)

    Welcome and congrats!  I am due on October 1st as well!  It will be really interesting to hear more about what is like to pregnant in Sri Lanka!!

    Wow ......seems to be my wandering(alone) time in thebump.com is over.... I'm so happy! I wanna share a good and a miraculous story of my pregnancy with fellow October moms.

    As we thought of getting pregnant(our first wedding anniversary is due on 21st June,2014) last november...... My LMP was on december... And after 2 weeks I knew that I'm pregnant. I'm so happy.... Its my first ever pregnancy. Cz its the first ever thing that I wanted and the wish came true in the time we needed. My husband was bouncing with joy. From his family there are no "boys" to take over the family. Today we had our second anomaly scan and my baby is doing great and well. And we are having a boy! my baby didn't show its gender for the last two months OBGYN visits. He kept hiding it....! Now its a boy ! Oh I'm so happy and overjoyed! our in law parents are also happy... I'm so happy that we could give  birth to a baby boy to take the family!

    Pregnancy in Sri Lanka is ok....Its not 100% great. There are bad issues as well.. Unless the long queues in govt hospitals,there's  a prevailing strike of midwives We have medical insurance by husband's company and we are going for the private clinic. Our doctor is very good and very supportive.

    Welcome to the board and congrats on your pregnancy. Sri Lanka is high on our list of places we'd like to get to for vacation, but we haven't made it yet.  I've heard it's beautiful.

    Yes  Sri Lanka is a great destination for vacations. So many great places to visit ranging from historic to modern :)
