Crinone side effects/HELP!

Advise please!! I'm very early in my first BFP after IVF. 5 weeks with my last beta at 1800 on Monday. I also just scheduled my first u/s. I was finally starting to feel pretty excited. I got home and scared to death to have an awful discharge and spotting. I of course called my RE in a panic and they said its most likely the crinone and is normal. They told me to monitor and if bleeding continues to come in for another level check. Any one have any advice or similar experience??

Not to be gross but is it bright red or is it a brownish in the Crinone discharge? I had dark brown (looks like dried blood in the discharge) last week and a little this week.(I am 6w5d) My RE said that it was normal - just irritation of the cervix but if I should get red spotting I should call.

Hope it is just normal spotting and all is ok.

I know it's gross...it was dark almost black. Definitely not red. It scared the crap out of me. I felt better after talking with my RE office. But now I'm on the google road to doom so I was hoping I could calm down here with you lovely ladies. Thanks for sharing

Sounds like it is similar to what I had but completely understand the anxiety - I have a moment of fear ever time I use the ladies room!

Crinone stinks! I had bright red blood mixed in the crinone discharge and a few times, bright red blood without the crinone discharge. It irritates your cervix. This is gross, but my doctor actually went in and filled 3 gauze pads with bright red blood as she was applying pressure to my cervix because she could see that it was raw and bleeding.

I think as long as you don't have cramping, it's slightly safe to say it's the crinone.

@FloridaSun82‌ really??? I also ended up up with blood and no crinone. I called my RE office on call. I thought this was it. Of course was so unsure what to do, was ready to head to ER. Which I would probably still be there with no answer till the morning any way. Would rather see my RE in the morning. I'm going in for blood work in the morning. I am a nervous wreck, and so scared. I'm praying it isn't what I think it is.

I had ALOT of bright red bleeding one night with no clots and no cramping, I've also had brown spotting but my dr said don't worry unless the bleeding is accompanied by cramping or passing clots, I found out that a subchorionic hematoma was the cause of my bleeding but just to let you know bleeding can be normal sometimes so don't worry yourself too bad :-) it is very scary though! Ended up in the ER. No such luck blaming it on the Crinone. I'm heartbroken to say the least. Still going to my RE tomorrow morning since I was scheduled for an u/s already. My beta from Friday was 3686, and at the ER it was over 4000, but with the amount of blood loss and u/s results ER doc labeled it m/c I feel like I hit a brick wall and my emotions are over the place. IF sucks. Not sure what board to turn to next. I want to thank all you ladies and your kind words and support.
