So the word count as of now: Momma, daddy, bobble (uses this for his bottle and sippy), wawer (water, he says this when he is thirsty), go, no, tickle, choochoo, and uhoh. 2 months ago? It was momma and daddy exclusively. He is bringing us things he wants to play with, with us, taking turns, engaging, initiating group play and cuddles, showing affection. In just a couple months of working at it, he has done a serious 180 and is improving every single day. With every day that passes his therapists concerns about ASD become less and less, and my heart lightens just a little bit more. He is even slowly overcoming sensory issues, no longer refusing to eat heated food, and slowly beginning to be willing to experiment with "messier" food that until recently he would have had a melt down if presented with. He devoured a peanut butter and jelly sandwich this morning for the first time, there is peanut butter EVERYWHERE and i am over the moon lol. Funny how our priorities change huh? Anyways, i just like to keep you ladies updated because through all of this you are who i have confided in the most. As you know my family has some issues with the course of action we took, and it is such a validation for me that i know for absolute fact that i made the right decision for him. I just want to thank you all for your continued awesomeness. Don't know what i would do without this board. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
