@katekat8721‌ yes, that gif is perfect. Ive been supplementing, nursing, and pumping too, so i get how you feel. But my milk isn't coming in great yet so I'm kinda feeling down/defeated. But hopefully it comes in really well soon, i know its only day 5PP so its got a couple more days to come in really well. Tonight is the first night home from the hospital. It's going really well to be honest. The boys and I took a 4 hour nap in the middle of the afternoon which was GLORIOUS. they haven't cried much today so my sanity is starting to come back a little. I'm in a good amount of pain though. Gas pains all in my back and shoulders. My incision doesn't hurt too terribly though so that's good. Tomorrow is the boys first doc appointment sooo we'll see how that goes.

As for shows im loving pretty little liars.

Ets how many of you ladies with outside babies are having really nad crying spells? I'm feeling so weepy and I never expected that from myself. Crying over nothing doesn't feel good. :/

Hello hello!  Can't believe this is my first time participating in this check-in with outside babies.  We just got out of the hospital today, so we will see how I feel tomorrow after the first night home.  So far, so good!  The girls are doing well eating, sleeping, and pooping.  The eat pretty much every 2.5-3 hours, then we supplement about 30 mins later with pumped milk via dropper/syringe.  I want to see if the will sleep a 3-4 hour chunk tonight!  Tomorrow is our dr appt so I will ask how long I should be pumping and supplementing, since they both are gaining weight pretty well so far. Tandem nursing is going well; other than the initial chaos of getting them both woken up, changed, and latched, it is a pretty peaceful process, though one inevitably wants to be done before the other, and one always is "omgiamgoingtofreakout" hungry before the other.  Trying to keep them on the same schedule, though!  I love having two babies way more that I thought I would.  There is always someone to snuggle, and watching my DS and DD with them is precious.  Tonight, DD decided to nurse her twin baby dolls, complete with a nipple shield.  It was adorable!!

ETA: Lately my go-to netflix show is Scrubs re-runs, but I can't wait for Switched at Birth to start again!!  I also need to catch up on the final few episodes of Glee…total guilty pleasure that I just can't kick!

  • AFM, I think things are going ok. My mom flew home Saturday and so today was my first day flying solo- and it went ok! We were all alive, clean and fed- and even went for a walk. I also learned how to clean baby throw up off my couch thanks to Hugsy projectile vomiting. I've become adept at using my feet for things you normally use your hands for, but I'm not sure that's a skill that you can put on your resume ;)

QOTW: I have never been a big tv person- still have like 3 episodes of SVU and the Blacklist season finale (all from before I delivered) on my DVR to catch up on. During MOTN feedings we listen to music. Yesterday was Elton John, tonight is Tom Petty.

  • @quinncat nursing two is hard! I'm constantly nursing, pumping or supplementing. I have one good feeder and one who just chomps more than sucks. My husband just looked over at me and said "ah babe you're pumping all the time...". Seriously. My pump sees more action than DH lol.

@CJnKR2014‌ I was a crying mess in the beginning. It will hopefully pass for you soon mama (((hugs)))

@MrsP419 and @curlylocks3 I'm glad things are going well!

@CAMag‌ don't feel bad about the formula. I hate everything about it too, the smell, the mixing, the fact that the girls hate it and try to spit it out lol. It's only temporary!

Hi ladies, we are doing well. Boys now are 2.5 weeks old. Having two babies is amazing but it's so hard. They're exclusively breast fed and I'm pumping. I'm not tandem feeding because one eats much more frequently than the other. We think one may have reflux too. When he's awake he's screaming. We are starting Zantac today and I hope it helps!! While I'm trying to enjoy the newborn stage, I'm wondering if our new family will ever feel "normal." I love them but sometimes find myself longing for the way things used to be...

  • IF YOU DONT ALREADY HAVE ONE, GET A BABY SWING. i am feeling like i can actually handle this on my own while DH is at work!!! Its a damn lifesaver. And will make motn wakeup and all so much easier.
  • @kmw722‌ i totally understand. Ive only been home 2 days and I'm already at a breaking point. Last night I didnt go to bed until 6 in the morning, and that was bc DH woke up and forced me to get in bed while he took over. They only woke up 3 times, but the 2nd time they stayed awake for about 5 hours, and DH is such a heavy sleeper... ugh. But. With tne swing i can already forsee that things are going to go much more smoothly tonight.
  • Hello Girls!
My c section date was moved up from June 5 to June 2 due to a raging case of PUPPP. The c section was not particularly fun, but it was amazing to hear DH announce the sex of our BOYS! I am so glad we waited to find out what we were having! 38 weeks 6.9 & 7.9 lbs (big babies).
Immediately after the section my BP dropped and I had a massive post partum hemorrhage. I will spare the details.
The boys are doing amazing! I am formula feeding and so far everything is great! My Mom and DH have been amazing. I lost so much blood from the hemorrhage, I am beyond exhausted. I have had multiple blood transfusions and it will be a few more weeks before I am up and running, but life is amazing and I have my little boys!!!
    Me:35,  DH: 39
TTC since March 2011. All bloodword, SA & HSG are normal.
    8/12: Clomid & TI - BFN

    3/13:  Clomid, Trigger & IUI - BFN
    4/13: Gonal F, Trigger & IUI: BFN
    6/13: IVF #1 (1AA blast & 1BB blast) = BFN
