I am going to call pedi in the morning, but i thought i'd check here for now
Ike has been really fussy lately and that is very out of character for him, his sleeping patterns have not changed, but when i feed him his bottle he gets really fussy, i burp him several times during each feeding (as recently as 2 weeks ago i never burped him until he was finished because he didn't need it), he spits up now (he didn't before), he is chewing on EVERYTHING in sight and drooling like mad, plus he has had a very low fever 99.8-100.3 for several days in a row now. Last week i took him to see pedi (this all has been going on for about 2 weeks now) and they said he had an upper resp infection, i have been doing everything they said, but he still has all these symptoms! It just breaks my heart because he is rarely fussy and now he cries during each bottle (except the first one of the day) and spits up everywhere, so i am wondering if his formula is to blame? He's on Similac Sensitive and never seemed to have an issue before but it's all i can think of. How does one go about switching formulas if that is the case?
Re: Should i switch formulas?
We didn't have the same issues--- but DD was super fussy because of gas/constipation with the Similac products (we tried advance shield and sensitive). We switched to a generic brand and she's doing awesome! Basically to switch formulas, our pedi allowed us to choose as long as it had certain ingredients.
