Hey ladies -- I'm 17w tomorrow and at my last OB visit 2 weeks ago my cervix was 3.3cm which the doctor wasn't thrilled about so he had me come back in and it's now down to 2.9cm -- again he wasn't thrilled... So I have to keep going in for a ultrasound every 2 weeks till 24 weeks (viability) and get my cervix measured. I'm terrified as to what this could mean long term, and google didn't help offer any reassurance. He said 3.5+ is ideal and anything 2.5 or shorter is cause for action...I've been high risk due to a history of 4 reoccurring losses-- and there for have been on complete pelvic rest and light activity.. And he said to continue that till 24 weeks (hubby wasn't thrilled lol) I'm willing to do anything I can to help my little boy stay in there and continue to grow strong.. But just worried now. Any experience with this?
Re: Short/Shortening Cervix
Sorry to be a downer. There's nothing you can do right now except listen to those restrictions no matter how unhappy it makes you or your husband.

Surprise Baby Boy, born sleeping at 31 weeks on 9/21/14
This pregnancy I had a TVCIC placed at 11 weeks, started p17 shots at 16 weeks, and am getting biweekly cervical length checks. So far, the cerclage is holding strong and I've been able to stay off bed rest (very difficult to be on bed rest with an 8 month old baby!)
