Hello Ladies --
Was hoping someone could give me some help/insight into planning a trip to DisneyWorld.
We're thinking of going in the fall (more likely end of October/beginning of November). Has anyone been at around this time? If you have, how were the crowds/wait times/etc?
I'm beyond torn about where to stay. My first thought is to stay at a resort that the monorail runs through for the convenience of traveling with toddlers, but they are insanely expensive! Other option is to stay at the Art of Animation which has the bus transportation to the parks, but unsure.
Also, has anyone used the Disney Dining Plan? If you have, which have you used, and do you think it was worth it?
ANY insight/thoughts/help anyone could give would be EXTREMELY appreciated!
Re: DisneyWorld Trip Help
Ditto what MBK said about googling the crowds at the parks. There's a lot of information out there.
We always stay on property and have stayed on the monorail multiple times and love it. But if those resorts aren't in your budget then there are a ton of options. Sometimes the bus rides can be long if they make a bunch of stops but it's still a good way of getting around the property. Really the only park that's a PITA to drive to is MK so if you have a car with you driving to the parks is not out of the question. I have a couple friends that have stayed at Art of Animation and liked it.
We always to the Deluxe Dining Plan and like it but it suits the way we eat on vacation. DH's family always does the regular dining plan because they eat differently than us. It really depends on your style of eating and whether the dining plan would save you money or not.
TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38
Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

I would definitely stay at a monorail resort if you have the funds. We stayed at Art of Animation a few years ago and it was just ok to me. Cute, but vast.
I think the only pro to the dining plan is basically pre-paying your meals. You have to eat a ton to get your value in my opinion.
Definitely do your internet research with regards to the new fastpasses. I like easywdw.com the best because the blogger is funny. He has crowd predictions too.
It kinda sucks that you make a reservation a year in advance and have to wait forever to see if you qualify and someone who books three months out gets a great discount like free dining.
