For starters, I started having dark brown spotting Saturday night. I wasn't too worried about it until it happened a couple more time Sunday. Luckily, I had a regular appointment--my very first--with my OB today. Because I'm not Brie Wong, I did a bunch of research on it and was already informed on the risks and statistics of it all.
Everything seemed to be okay at my appointment, but my OB was concerned about the brown blood (it was still happening today) and we couldn't hear baby with the doppler. So she squeezed me in to an ultrasound this afternoon, but wanted to make sure that I was aware of the possibility of a loss.
But somebody upstairs was looking out for our "Appleseed". Baby measured at 10 weeks 6 days, about a week behind what doctor thought. Best part: Appleseed was wiggling around and had a very strong heartbeat, and the US tech thought baby look very healthy.
So doc now has me off work until the spotting stops and I see her again on Wednesday. My husband and I had a roller coaster kind of day, and we decided to tell my parents tonight on a good-vibe whim--especially since I can't think of a good excuse of why I'm missing two more days of work without heaping on more fibs. lol
Mostly, I wanted to thank you ladies for distracting me this weekend. It's good to know that I have you all here when I just need somebody to talk to. Thank you. ♡
Update:
Looks like mama has a UTI and anemia, so pills and more pills! I had a higher temp today, but they accounted that to being hot outside and a car with no AC. As far as the spotting goes, Doc says I have a friable cervix that will just be prone to spotting and bleeding the whole pregnancy. So I've been cleared to go back to work, but am under clear orders to take it easy for a couple of weeks.
My heart is so full, because baby is still doing a-okay, and my doctor felt comfortable turning me loose for a month before our next checkup. That, and the parents went absolutely nuts when we told them. They had stories and advice and questions for about five hours, and after all the worry and nerves of the weekend and Monday morning, there was nothing like some much-needed family time to unwind. Everything is just fine, and we're both feeling so blessed.
Again. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers, and for keeping us laughing. You girls are pretty awesome.
:x

I'm so glad everything looked okay. I hope your spotting stops soon and you have a wonderful appointment on Wednesday.
As for the measurements being off, at my RE's office, he always a vag u/s and the dates were pretty dead on. Our last appointment was last Tuesday. However, I was at the ER this weekend (also for bleeding) and they did an abdominal u/s and it was a week behind. I know the baby didn't shrink by a week in just a couple of days time! The baby looked bigger compared to the twin that we lost, so I know that s/he is growing just fine.
