At how many weeks did you have everything done and ready?

Since things are different than with my singletons, I'm trying to figure out my timeline. When did you have everything ready for the twins by? They'll be inducing me around 37-38 weeks (if I don't go earlier) so I'm just wondering when I should have all the major stuff bought and projects done by. Some MoM's told me to get it all done early because I'll be so uncomfortable. Just wanted to hear from others what they did. TIA!

I'm 22 weeks right now.. But my goal is to have most everything ready by 28-30 weeks. My shower is scheduled for 26 weeks.

I'm 33 weeks along now and pretty much everything is done. My friend's just finishing up her murals in their room, but that's pretty much it in their room besides raising up one of the cribs, bringing up the second diaper genie, putting the glider together, and getting their little night stand. Sounds like a lot is left actually! But I figure they'll have a place to sleep when they get home and that's the main thing and all their clothes are put away and everything.

I think the car seats we'll just put in the back of my van and DH can install them quickly even after they're born b/c I really don't want DD all the way in the 3rd row before they're here (so can't install everything yet).

Also, my shower was at 27 weeks which was great. It seems recommended to get everything pretty much in order by the time you're where I am, or even 30 weeks.

110 weeks.

They can walk and climb over baby gates and put paper plates in the dishwasher and sweep the cat.

I am still not done and ready.

I had most stuff done by 28 weeks, which is fortunate because that's when I was put on bed rest. I feel fine physically, but my cervix says otherwise lol.

We rent and didn't really have a nursery to decorate. We made major purchases at 16-18w so I could take advantage of a major sale, but I would have preferred it be later. I did nothing w any of it until 32w. Little stuff was done after they were born at 34w. There's not much that a baby really needs and I'm irrationally skittish about preparing too far in advance.

Done by week 30ish. Had my shower planned for 26th week, got sent to the hospital for bed rest 3 days before.

Well, we bought a new house right when they were born. The day after they were born, DH left me in the hospital to go sign papers on the new place, so we had 0% done! I stayed at my parents house for the first week while DH and my dad packed up the old house and moved everything into the new house. They set up the nursery and the kitchen but the rest of the house was still in boxes when the girls and I arrived. (In hindsight - this is not a course of action I would recommend to any of you - very stressful) The house was sort of a work in progress for most of the winter. We changed the configuration of the nursery and the play area several times and we are still in the process of finishing up what will be the playroom for when they start crawling/walking.

I had my nursery done at 28 weeks, I did a lot of the work on it- my husband did the heavy stuff but i put together the IKEA furniture, made the curtains and crib skirts, painted. A good thing it was done since I was put on bedrest at 31 weeks, and it would have drove me nuts that it wasn't done. Also they never shared a room with us, so they were in their own cribs from 4 weeks.

We've been mostly done since 30 weeks or so when we assembled the 2nd crib. Still need to stash the larger baby clothes that I've accrued in their appropriate boxes. I've purchased or had handed down to me more stuff, which is good, but it has ended up stacked up in front of the closet in the nursery. I've had a mostly easy time with the pregnancy, so you may want to start sooner? The only thing the babies will really NEED to come home are the car seats, somewhere to sleep, diapers, and some clothes... Bottles and formula (even if you plan on BF, it's good to have some around in case things don't go according to plan. I had to pump and supplement with DD1. Poor DH had to run out and buy the pump before we went home too b/c I wasn't sure if I'd need the double electric... Until I needed the double electric).

We've had the big stuff done since I was around 28 weeks and have been finishing up some little stuff ever since. And by little stuff I mean things that I'd like done but if they were to have come earlier, it wouldn't have really mattered - like putting up art in the nursery.

I'm almost 33 weeks now and I'm way too uncomfortable to get any shopping or assembling of furniture done so I'm glad I did that sooner rather than later.
