Oklahoma People -or those who know the area'ish

I'll be in Oklahoma June 20-26 and really want to take my cousin to a comedy show. Anyone know were to find a good one? I've only come across 2, one called looney bin or something and a casino

I'd like to know any reviews on looney bin
or
any other ideas. The casino didn't have any show during my stay

TYVMIA!!

  • idk about the comedy shows, I've heard the looney bin is great. If you want to see a movie, the Warren Theatre in Moore, OK has balcony and directors seating. You can have dinner and drinks brought to your seat and it's 21 and over.

    There are things to do in Bricktown
    The civic center has shows.

    There is a burlesque show somewhere in Bricktown.

    ::off to google::
  • @Smootchy I can't google it right now, and I'm not sure on the exact location, but I walked passed it one day. I think it's near the Bricktown Brewery maybe.

    Doll House is the name of the burlesque thing. I've heard it's really fun! The Looney Bin is fun too- I'd recommend that. The surrounding casinos sometimes have good comedians too. Did you look at Firelake Grand Casino or Riverwind Casino? Both are within an hour of OKC and get some comedians. Other fun things: The Edmond Jazz Lab always has fun musicians. The piano bar in downtown OKC is fun.  The Boathouse District is near downtown and has a lot of activities (rental boats and bikes and a ropes course thing).

  • Thank you @elisej & @speshul

    I did look at the Riverwind casino, the one show that will be there the weekend I'm there is sold out. I don't want to make my cousin travel too far (he has cancer and gets kind of exhausted easily) but he said he'd like to go out for a bit. Last time I was there we went to a strip club, so a burlesque show would be fun. If he's feeling up to it, maybe even both...
    I know we've been to the Brick Town area so that's not too far. I think it's Edmond we stay at?

    Edmond isn't far from Bricktown at all. And the Doll House is so fun if that's your thing.

    The Looney Bin is cool too, but burlesque shows are way more fun. Plus there's more to do/ places to eat either before or after the show. Not a whole lot of nightlife by the comedy club.

    Yes, that's a good point. The looney bin isn't really close to "cool places". Bricktown (which is downtown) has lots of fun stuff to do- including Doll House and the piano bar, to name a few.
  • Team Bricktown. So many other things to do.
