Tall & Plus sized maternity clothes - losing hope

I'm starting to freak out about by slight baby bump - because my pants are now too tight in the waste.  I'm using those elastic waste extenders and have belly bands to cover the area, but what am I going to do for the next 180-some days!  I'm almost 6 feet tall and wear a size 20 or XXL.  I'm worried that even if I just got larger non-maternity clothing, they will not be long enough for my height.  I'm ok for summer and when I'm at home, I am just starting to fret about work clothing and when it gets to be fall/winter.  If I buy maternity pants they will not be long enough!

Any ideas or experiences?

Re: Tall & Plus sized maternity clothes - losing hope

  • Hi so I also have the issue where I don't fit into tiny maternity clothes. I'm about a 14-16 normally and can't wear anything from pea in a pod or any of those cute stores. Destination maternity is kind of frumpy and I refuse to look frumpy, pregnant or not. I'm actually pretty short so length is usually not a problem. I have seen XL and XXL at anntaylorloft.com. They have awesome stuff and you can usually get a coupon. Old navy and gap are great to look at also online. I am still searching and will totally let you know if I find more. Message me if you want help with coupon codes!

  • Gap has tall sizes in maternity online, I bought some jeans from them, but I'm not sure about their slacks.  Loft also has tall sizes, but I'm not sure if they have plus talls.  What about maxi skirts or dresses? Can you wear those to work?

  • I'm 5'9 and a size 18. I had luck at Target in the maternity section.
  • Try www.onestopplus.com I'm 5'10'' and wear a 3x regularly, I have started looking on their site for maternity clothes, they have some cute ones :)
  • I'm 6' and was a size 7. It's impossible. -.-

Try Amazon!! I feel like they have everything!
And they have all the name brand stuff at discount. Just bought 3 pairs of Capri maternity pants that are Motherhood brand
  • I m tall, and a bit on the bigger side as well.. found that old navy is good as well as motherhood maternity and I've resorted to having a small selection of clothes. Which is just as fine.
Good luck with the searches... I know it can be frustrating!
