I never buy H clothes and he thinks it would be weird if I did, but I think most women do. Please settle it for us.

  • I buy almost all his clothes without him, but once and a while he will want to get something with me.

  • I used to but he didn't like a lot of the stuff I picked out...so i stopped. I will only if I know he will love it or asked for it.

  • I buy a lot of his clothes but usually we shop together for things like that for him. During Christmas I do try to get him shirts, socks, underwear those kind of things.
  • "only if he told me exactly what to pick up" because he likes to try on everything and he's very picky about how the clothes feel on his body.  I know what size he is but he would rather pick out his own clothes.

Haha this!!  He is ridiculously picky and the guy only wears t-shirts and jeans or cargo shorts...he literally has two nice outfits.
Exactlyyyy!  T-shirts and jeans and cargo shorts! Not even joking.  If by nice outfits you mean a polo or button-up and khakis, that's him too lol.  I have yet to see him in a tie.

  • ugh - I can't imagine trying to buy clothes for DH.  I can barely pick out clothes for myself.  He's very particular and he's actually a lot more stylish than I am.  Sometimes we go shopping and he picks out clothes for ME.  He usually finds things that I'd never pick out that end up looking pretty good.

  • I buy clothes for him when I'm out, but he buys his own as well.  I don't go out for the sole purpose of buying him clothes but when I come across something his style that is a good deal I definitely pick it up.

  • We have different styles, so I don't even try anymore. We've been out shopping and I've picked out something that I like for him, and he hates it.
I hate buying clothes for myself, so he's the only reason I ever get new clothes. But we still shop together, he doesn't just buy me stuff without my approval.
  • I used to buy it all, but the last year or so, he's been really involved in deal hunting online and he buys most of it himself.

  • I voted "If i see something" -- but this actually reminded me that DH has been complaining  for the past month that he needs new cargo shorts, so i just ordered 3 pairs from old navy (the exact same kind he already has).  If i call them a "Father's Day" gift, does that give me a free pass?  ;)

  • He buys most of his clothes.  I buy him random things I think are cute.  Ive been searching for a gray or navy sport coat he could wear with jeans when we go out at night

  • I got flamed once for saying I bought DH clothes from the thrift store.  Not because it was the thrift store, but just because I bought him clothes.  Clearly I'm not the only one buying DH clothes.

Anyway, he buys some, I buy some.

  • SS: I go shopping with him and pick things out and he tries it on and gives me a fashion show lol. Especially with work clothes. The man has a wardrobe 5x's the size of mine so I avoid buying him clothes unless I am replacing something.

  • I buy all his clothes. And shoes. He has the final approval but hates shopping and hates trying stuff on. So I buy it and if he doesn't like it then he usually returns it or we return together. He's pretty laid back about clothing though so it's rare to return something. I have also been upping the fashion slowly so he is a much sharper dresser now than he was a couple years ago. Hehehe. Sneaky. "Modern fit" jeans and tops have replaced his former loose fit jeans and shirts.

I buy #allthethings. Shirts, jeans, work clothes, underwear, shoes, hats. If I don't buy it, he wears his 15-year-old "I have a black belt in crazy" t-shirt (or something similar to @ElleStaxx's DH). I have no problem with it and see nothing wrong with it. Until it comes time to do the laundry...and then I'm seriously questioning buying anything at all.

  • I buy all of DH's clothes for him.  The only way I can ever get him to go shopping with me for clothes for him is if it's my birthday.  So each year on my birthday we usually go shopping :-)

  • He used to never get new clothes unless I bought them. Now he buys himself an outfit maybe once or twice a year.

  • My husband has great style on his own. I can buy him stuff when I'm out because I know he'll love it but he buys himself things as well. He likes shopping.

  • Haha, all these man children. My dh is an engineer so I think that explains a lot. An unmarried coworker of his wears camo almost daily and shops almost exclusively at an army surplus store.
  • I buy undershirts, boxers, socks and shirts. Only at Christmas time.

  • I buy most of his clothes...I think since we've been together he's bought jeans on his own. I guess he really doesn't see a need for new stuff, but I always find stuff I like. Also, we go out with the baby pretty much every weekend. You guise need lives! #timeforapoll

No shopping for me. If he needs it, he can buy it. I am not a bigger shopper for myself either.
  • I buy tshirts every year for Christmas. They are usually semi obscure movie or tv show references.

During the year, his work pays for cargo shorts or jeans and he is usually wearing a work-issued underarmer polo.

I rarely buy clothes for him, usually I just get him geeky t-shirts like Dr.Who or Firefly if I see one he doesn't have. He's pretty good about getting his own stuff when he needs it and the military provides his work clothes and socks and underwear. I also love that he doesn't mind dressing up when the occasion warrants it even though he'd probably prefer cargo pants and a t-shirt.

I can't remember the last time I bought him clothing when he wasn't right there with me. He has impossibly wide shoulders, narrow hips, and a long torso, all of which make it really hard to find even basic tees that fit him right. He has to be there to try everything on or I would end up taking most if it back. Plus, he's picky. LOL

I'm probably the only reason DH has some sort of fashion. I've been thinking lately all his clothes that ten years or older need to meet with bleach just so that he will throw them out. He still fits into the clothes from high school and that was 20 years ago.
