What was coming home like?

Tell me what it was like coming home from the hospital/birthing center...trying to visualize these fleeting moments.

Did you take your car home, a cab?

We brought my car.

Did you go straight home?
Yes, we live 5 minutes from the hospital.

Did LO sleep and you carried the car seat in, or take LO out and bring them inside?
She slept all the way home. We brought her I side in her car seat, then took her out of her seat and put her in her crib.

What did you do first?
Turned into the paparazzi. There are so many pictures of her in her crib, asleep! I-)

Was anyone else with you and your SO? Yes, my DH.

We brought my husband's car home. He drove and I sat in the front because with two car seats there was no room for me in the back. He dropped me and charlie man off at home and went to pick up C. I put charlie in his little bouncy chair so I could hold C when she got home. Dh brought C home and she was sooooo excited. We took some pictures and life as a family of four started

We took our car home straight home. DD was there with my sister and my parents came over after church to bring us lunch. When they left it was time for life as usual!

My husband brought my car to pick us up. He brought my 3 year old DD with.
She slept in the car the whole way home (5 min car ride)
When we got home my DS came home from school on the bus about 10 minutes later. Then my husband picked up my pain meds. Haha!

We drove our own car. We stopped at my grandmothers on the way home because I've been eager to show him to her then we headed home. We carried him inside in his car seat. The first thing we did was state at him and then looked at each other line "Now what?".

Did you go straight home? Yes - I was exhausted having slept about 4 hours in 4 days.

Did LO sleep and you carried the car seat in, or take LO out and bring them inside? We leave the seat in the car.

Was anyone else with you, LO, and your significant other? Just DH; the kids spent the night at a friends house so we could sleep!

What did you do first? Showered! Ate and spent 12 hours in bed

Did you go straight home? Yes, although I sent my parents to get me a caramel latte, figuring I earned some extra sugar AND caffeine!

Was anyone else with you, LO, and your significant other? Just me, DH, and Reed!

What did you do first? I made sure to greet our dog, Penelope, without Reed in my hands. She was NOT all about seeing me though, but immediately liked him! She's warmed up to me over the past 10 days, thankfully!

We took our car home.

We stopped at the pharmacy and my husband ran in to drop off my prescriptions.

My DH drove and noah and I sat in the back.

We had lunch and my parents and in laws came over cause it was their first chance to be allowed to hold him.

We live 5 minutes from the hospital so we took our car, DH drove about 5 mph under the speed limit. When we got into the car and were about to drive off, DH said "they are really letting us leave with her without supervision!". When we got home we just stood in the living room and were like, soooooo what now?
