Help!!

So, I am super confused over why has been happening. I made my daughter a bottle of whole milk like I always do last week andby the time I got it downtown her it looked all seperated and curdled. Soi checked the milk and it was due in two days..so I dumped it thinking it was curdled early.i bought new milk due in2 weeks. Same issue..curdles instantly. Soi thought maybe it's the bottles..so I boiled them and the nipples etc..same issue..so I tried not warming the milk.same issue..I haveno idea why this is happening all of a sudden!! It's disgusting and frustrating! Has anyone ever experienced this issue? Do I need new bottles? HELP! P,ease :)

It sounds like the milk has not been homogenized.  When I've bought farm milk, the fat has separated naturally from the rest of the milk.  In fact, people used to have to shake milk regularly when milk was coming fresh from farms. The processed milk most of us drink has been homogenized so that it does not separate.

Did you recently switch brands?  It could be you got a batch that wasn't homogenized all the way (which I don't think is a big deal).  If the milk smells okay and hasn't gone bad, simply shaking the milk should bring back the consistency you're used to.

  • No this is definitely homogenized and one of the two brands I use regularly
