Advice for dad and others putting LO to bed

Ok need some help for my poor man. I started back to work last week and had to work past bedtime Thursday and Saturday. I usually nurse her to sleep and she is down for the count. My DH has been having troubles getting her down and not sure what else to do. The only thing I can think of is skin to skin.

I do not have any late nights on the schedule this week, but my in laws will have her at bedtime Saturday evening.

Oh yes I do and he feeds her, but still has a hard time getting her down. He tried to keep everything as we usually do, but still struggles.

Most of the 5s's are still working for us. Although some nights I have to add in a rhythmic pat on the butt or head rub.

Lavender essential oil. Or lavender baby bath. I swear it helps my LO sleep!

It might be a bad habit we are starting, but our LO loves to be bounced on my exercise/yoga ball. 5 minutes of that and she is out!

My only advice would be to let him keep trying. Even if you are home, nurse then let him handle the rest. That way your little one won't always associate you with bedtime. When DD was a baby we had some trouble with this. I would always put her to bed so when DH or our parents would do it she would throw a fit. So we started alternating nights so that she would not just associate mommy with bedtime.
