I took a short week. I called in sick on Wed as a mental health day...I go back tomorrow...boo....Counting down to vacation in Aug..
DH watches LO while I work nights...The situation is working right now...but we do not spend a lot of time together as a couple...Something needs to change soon. We are trying to talk my inlaws to move in with us to give us more baby sitting options
This week was short. I took Monday off for my birthday. I do not work on my birthday. Thurs we were bike patrol so that was fun. I was in charge if keeping the dept twitter feed going on thurs and I got an "at a girl" for it.
Qotw: my BFF watches dd and it works out well. They love each other and I know she is in good hands.
I told my job that I plan on moving out of state and looking for a job. I really hope they don't screw me over in case it takes longer than expected for jobs to call me back. T&P's for that please; I started applying 2 weeks ago and haven't got called yet, did get a status update e mail on 2 of the positions that my application was sent to the hiring manager so that's something I guess.
I work nights, DH works evenings and we pretty much just rotate. It sucks. I work from 7p-7:30a then get to come home and stay up all say with baby. The joy of being awake for like 36 hours ugh. I'm looking for normal hours, while I'll have to pay for child care, it may be worth my health both mental and physical.
TTC since July 2011
HSG normal in May 2012 followed by three unmonitored clomid cycles unsuccessful
Unexplained female infertility (My husband apparently has super sperm)
IUI # 1 Nov 24
BFP Dec 8! EDD Aug 17th, due to Preeclampsia and HELLP, Kylie Penelope was born July 30th!
This work week was long. Worked three nights in a row this week and missed my LO terribly. I have to keep reminding myself that I truly enjoy my job. Right now it's just tough working such odd hours and being away from my family so much.
Same old complaint with work. I am sick of it and would like to find something different. I just don't know what.
We are very happy with our daycare center. The only issues are that LO is there for ten hours a day, which I feel bad about, and the center is out of our way. There is a closer center on our way, but it is a lot more expensive.
Same old stuff last week. Tomorrow I have a senior manager shadowing me, and I am not looking forward to it. I appreciate their confidence but wish they would have chose someone else.
We have a sitter for LO. I wouldn't change it for the world, we adore her, and she adores LO. She watches our LO, and her LO (who is about 6 weeks younger). She also has a 5 and a half year old son who is adorable. We are extremely lucky.
Week was OK - nothing spectacular that I can think of! Just work and rushing to get some time with DD before her bed.
MWF she's at daycare center...T&Th she's with my Mom...and since we live with my parents right now and I work from home, I get to see her sweet face throughout the day and I love it. :-) Although it is distracting. We're really happy with our daycare though - she seems very happy too - and she usually sleeps well after those days! We hope to keep her there until she goes to school...but it depends which town we end up buying a house. Her daycare is in our former town (and where we do want to live), so fingers crossed!
Work is the same old, same old. Good, but not great.
My sister takes care of LO every single work day. I pay her, of course, but it's a pretty discounted rate. She has a 1-year-old at home, so the boys love hanging out with each other and playing together all day. I don't know how my sister does it, but I absolutely love that Alex is being cared for by someone who loves him very much. Helps set my mind at ease.
Re: Working mama check in
But I have a scribe today. So awesome. I'll have her log on TB and chart a stream of my thoughts throughout the shift. Ha!
But really--scribes are a lifesaver!
