Oh sciatic nerve... already?

So I have been having a difficult time getting comfortable the past few nights so I have been sleeping with a pillow under my left leg. When I got up this weekend my back and butt hurt so bad. Hurts to lift my leg, shift on the couch or in bed, sit for too long, etc. Dear baby Jesus....it's way too early for this. LOL My husband thinks i'm playing it up a bit....you know what I say to that "fuck you, you're not creating a human inside of your body". I mean that with love. :) Just in the mood to complain for a minute. Anyone else this early with the pain or trouble sleeping?

Re: Oh sciatic nerve... already?

  • Sciatica started for me around 12 weeks. I notice it it worse after doing a lot or standing too long.

  • Yea, me and my fav bag of corn are going to be BFFs. Lol I dont know what it is, but I much prefer frozen veggies over an ice pack. :)
  • Sciatica started with me at 6 weeks. I went to see the chiropractor and discovered it is in part due to my pelvis being crooked which I am now getting fixed.

  • I have left over sciatica flareups from my first pregnancy so it started super early for me, but I have found that the barre workouts I've been doing have really helped. I missed 3-4 days this past week and had a flare-up. The next day did a barre workout and it's gone again. HTH!

  • I have had tons of back pain and sciatic nerve pain, sometimes to the point where I can barely walk.  I have been seeing a chiropractor 4 times a week for the past month and it has helped but my spine is highly resisting stabilizing :(  Good luck, I hope you are able to find some relief!

This is me too, although I think mine started at 8-10 weeks. I've always had sciatic pain, but it has gotten much worse. I started seeing a chiropractor, and it has helped tremendously!

Ugh! I have been having issues with this too. I've had a cold for a week now and last night I was laying on the bed with DH talking and he made me laugh which made me cough which super exasperated the pain- I ended up crying because I couldn't stop coughing and it just hurt and he said I think it's time for a snoogle.

What I don't get is that on a pain scale I don't actually think it's that severe but I just respond poorly too it- I'm not sure if it's because it comes and goes or because it's just uncomfortable or what.
  • I usually have that problem if I am on my feet for long periods or after cleaning.

  • I was trying to take a nap the other day and my right leg was tingling like it had fallen asleep. It wouldn't stop no matter what I tried for over half an hour. I figured it was sciatic nerve related, but that's the only symptom I've had so far.
