Anyone interested in joining this?? It's super simple and a great way to build a library! The way it works is this... You'll receive a letter in the mail (with instructions) and with the names, ages and addresses of 2 children. You send child #1 a book in the mail (or order inline and send right to them.. Saves on USPS!!). Then you reprint the letter, move child 2 to child 1 and add your child as child 2. Then, you pass the letter to 6 friends of yours. In the end, you gift out 1 book, but your child should receive 36 in the mail :-). I was silly and signed up twice since I had 2 kids, so I've had to recruit 12 mommy friends... I'm 2 short!! And, for those of you with more than one kid, what you can do instead is split up who's name you put on the 6 letters you send out.. You'll still get 36 books, but just will come in split between your kiddos :-). If you're interested, PM me your address!!

Does this actually work? Do people actually send you books? This sounds a lot like the chain letters I did as a teen. I always sent my stuff out, but I never got anything back.

Hm.. Well, it all depends who you send it to. So, for me, I sent everything out already (I did 2), and I made sure the people I sent the letters to agreed to it first and knew they needed 6 other friends who agree.. The thing is, the people I send it to will send books to the Child of the Mom that sent it to me.. So, if I wanna make sure my kids get books, I need to make sure the people I've sent it to have friends lined up, ya know. This is the first time I've done it... I honestly can't say if you definitely get 36 books back, but it can't see why you wouldn't unless you can't find 6 friends to pass it to. For example... I need 1 more person now.. If I can't find someone, what I'll do is send out a book to kid #2 also, that way she isn't getting jipped... But, in turn, that means 6 "less" books to be expected for my kids since I didn't pass the letter on.. Does that make sense? Now, if everyone thinks that way, idk,, I'd hope so!! It's for the kids..! I doubt people would just not do it ya know.. The letter also states if for some reason you can't mail out your 6 letters you're supposed to contact the mom who sent it to you... And it's a good idea to follow up and see if everyone you sent it to was able to find their 6 people ya know... I mailed most of my letters the other day, so I'll let you know if I start getting books in the mail or not ;-)
