Hey ladies! We haven't had a multiples check in for a few weeks so I thought I would take the initiative. Let me know if I am stepping on anyone's toes.

and a GTKY question... There's been a lot of talk about names on this board lately. Have you ever wanted to change your name? If so, what did you want to change it to?

eta - I will be updating the user names in the original post as people ask to be removed or added as to keep it as current as possible.

I have an appointment Friday with my ob and then next Tuesday with mfm. Hopefully we will find out what we are having. I have felt so drained this week. I can't do anything without needing a break.

I am not a fan of my middle name, Louise, but it's my grandma's name so I would never change it.

I have an appt Wednesday with my OB. Wondering what everyone else's appts are like? My last one was super fast, got weighed, took bp, and then a quick ultrasound to check for heartbeats and that was it. I really haven't gotten any info/guidelines from my OB. At the end of the month we have our a/s and I can't wait for that!

Never have thought about changing my name and I like it just fine! I feel like most people on this board have good taste in names, but when I see lists posted from pre-k classes, etc I wonder how I'll ever be able to spell my kids' friends' names! Crazy variations out there...

@KimmieS1756 - I really like the name Sawyer (unfortunately DH vetoed it bc of Sawyer from LOST)

@ktibbits1 - I've only had one OB appointment and they didn't do a whole lot, basically what you said. They did go over nutrition and whatnot, but I honestly felt like their guidelines on weight gain and eating were a little lax (but then again I read Dr. Luke's book which is pretty extreme on the other side).

And finally lunchtime so I can add my own update.

No new appointments for me. My next one won't be until the 19th. It's just a OB appointment, but I know they will give me an US and am hoping the tech will take a guess at the sexes (I'll be a day shy of 17 weeks) since I don't think I'll be back for another three weeks (unless they schedule my a/s earlier than my normal next appointment would be).

Also, I've been puking my freaking guts out since starting the second trimester. I'm like, "Seriously!? I thought this shit was supposed to get better, not worse!"

GTKY: My name is Wendy and I used to HATE it. I always wanted to be a Jennifer or a Jessica because that's who the popular girls were. Now, I'm meh over it. I don't hate it but I don't love it. I'm definitely glad though that I wasn't a Jennifer or a Jessica now knowing how common those names were in my generation.

Are you taking anything for it? The one time I've puked was once second tri started, but not since and I can't imagine dealing with it all the time. Hope you start feeling better soon!

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is doing well!

Things here are kind of uneventful at the moment. My next appt is w/ MFM on the 17th. We should hopefully find out the sexes then! My blood pressure was on the high side at my last appt, I'm hoping that doesn't become an issue. We started painting/cleaning out the babies' room... still feels so surreal to me.

QOTW: I don't mind my name (Caitlin), but it has 100 different spellings which gets annoying. My rule for our babies' names is nothing w/ multiple spellings!

Hey ladies!! I hope everyone is good. We had a viability ultrasound last week to figure out why I'm bleeding. I found out I have placenta previa. Hopefully it will move as time goes on. Other then that babies were great! We have our next June 30th to find out the sex of the babies. I am so excited.

I like my name but if people don't know me they think I'm a boy and my name is justin... Our girl names are Ella and piper, we only have one boy name so far and it's Toby.

I had an US on Friday...babies are looking good and growing on target. The Dr was almost positive it's a boy and a girl, but she'll confirm in two weeks when I go in for my a/s. I have been having a lot of pain in my pelvic area..I feel like I've been kicked in the cr*tch lol!! Other than that no other updates.

and a GTKY question... There's been a lot of talk about names on this board lately. Have you ever wanted to change your name? If so, what did you want to change it to?

I've always liked my name but hated when people called me Yessi for short. So annoying!!

So, what's up? Any appointments or updates you'd like to AW? Had appointment last week. Things seem fine. Go back on the 19th for our A/S. We are team green and I am so nervous they are going to mistakenly tell us the sexes. They were great about not saying anything with DD but everyone seems surprised we aren't finding out the sexes this time. and a GTKY question... There's been a lot of talk about names on this board lately. Have you ever wanted to change your name? If so, what did you want to change it to? Nope. I like my name. It's normal but not super common. Basically what we hope our kids names will be.

Hi everyone!

I had an appointment with my MFM doc today and got a second opinion on our sexes. Essentially confirmed we are having two girls! YAY! Got the all good with everything else. I look good, babies look good, etc. My doc is big into nutrition and supplements, so I am now taking over 30 pills a day between prenatals, supplements, anti-nausea stuff, and stool softeners. Pregnancy -- so glamorous!

KimmieS1756: Sadie Grace was on our list for a long time but Grace sounds funny with our last name so we went with a different middle name. But I love Sadie and it will be one of our girls names! So funny that several people on here like it as I don't know anyone IRL that has used it recently!

I have a boring, basic name and always wanted something different and "glamorous" as a kid but now I love my name. It is a timeless name that everyone knows so it makes things easy. Boring, but true!

So, what's up? Any appointments or updates you'd like to AW?

We had an appointment and found out the twins were mo/di or di/di possibly. We know for sure they have their own sacs so that was a relief and I guess we will have to wait and see if they are identical or not. We go in on the 17th for an ultrasound and to see if we can get Gender information. My husband is suggesting we do something different this time. He wants me to let him find out the sex without me knowing and then at my shower the guest will all tell me what I am having. Of course I have my reservations as to what if its two boys (I want at least 2 girls) but I assume by the time the shower comes around I would have already explored the possibilities. I will think about it and see how that goes. Feel free to let me know your thoughts. I feel like someone will leak and tell me before the shower and I don't want to do a gender reveal because I want my shower to be gender specific and whatever gifts we receive to be the same.

and a GTKY question... There's been a lot of talk about names on this board lately. Have you ever wanted to change your name? If so, what did you want to change it to? I absolutely Love my name (Tiersa pronounced tear-sa) I was always told it was unique and pretty, so therefore no changes. I do have baby names in mind though

I had a son and i am now pregnant with twins. The nausea is a teeny bit more than last but still not every day just random. I hardly think you can link that to twins. The biggest indicator is showing quicker and heaviness under belly early (12-15 weeks). I haven't noticed anything else. If you're really wandering just have em check during next ultrasound

@tiersa_smith - I might be a little confused as to what you're planning. I don't see how doing a "gender reveal" before your shower will prevent you from having a sex-specific themed baby shower? If anything, I think it would better allow it since everyone will know the sexes of the babies. As for your Hubby's idea of your guests surprising you, I think that would be really hard to pull off without someone spilling the beans. BUT i don't know your situation (your friends/family and their shower ideas) so maybe it would work? Honestly, I would want to know as soon as my husband does. It's going to be a surprise no matter when you find out, so why put so much thought and planning into doing a "reveal"? But, I'm kind of a party pooper when it comes to revealing baby's sexes, so I might not be the best person to answer this question.

@WildFlower810 - I have had horrible 2nd trimester morning sickness (was okay in the 1st), but a lot of the other twin mamas I know didn't report any unusual morning sickness. I don't think the amount of morning sickness you have is a good way to determine how many babies you're having. Have you had an ultrasound yet? That would tell you how many there are.

I have heard that morning sickness can be worse with a multiple pregnancy while the placenta is still developing (so first tri). I had pretty constant nausea but only got sick once (at the beginning of the 2nd tri surprisingly) and have been feeling better within the past 2 weeks (I'm 17 weeks now). I'm a FTM though so nothing to compare it to.

I have also heard of a lot of women who have morning sickness throughout their entire pregnancy with a singleton. Everyone is different, no way to know for sure until the ultrasound! Hope you're feeling better soon
