I posted a Missed Connection on CL

So, I have been going to this natural/healthy grocery store for awhile now. Every weekend. I used to shop at a different location a lot when I was KU, and I just really like the vibe. Plus their organic produce tends to be pretty affordable, and sometimes cheaper than my main local grocery store. Anyway, there's always this extremely attractive dude working there, and 9/10 he rings up my groceries. A couple of weekends ago, he started acting a little extra friendly, and I thought he might be flirting ? but I wasn't sure (OMG how old am I right now).

I'd talked about it a tiny bit on a couple of the spam threads on Parenting and a few people there convinced me I should check Missed Connections to see if he posted anything. He hadn't.  But then I got the brilliant idea to post one myself. So I did. I really don't know if this guy is even remotely interested. In fact, my gut tells me that he's really not, he's just a nice, friendly person. He's also way out of my league ;)

Anyway, that's my exciting news lol

  • Hahaha, well y'all will be updated if he ever responds to it! I am actually a little embarrassed and hope he doesn't see it ever lol

  • Maybe I should start putting a little more effort in when I go to the store. My yoga pants and messy bun are not exactly eye catchers lol

  • F/U question: Any change you would just ask him out for coffee when you are shopping at the store?
I really need to get past the goofy-toothy-grin nervousness when I talk to him first, maybe? lol I am such a dork. Plus I really don't want to make our weekly interactions awkward before he gives me a bigger hint that he'd even consider it.

Idk, I'm making excuses because I'm a wee bit terrified ;)

  • Regardless of my motherhood status, there is no way in hell I'd ever meet Logan IRL. Nope.

Well geeze, now I have to :P

Funny story - I've gotten three replies to the posting so far. Two of them were randos offering their moral support and encouragement (one guy giving me some pointers), and then there was Logan. The 38 year old "dominant daddy" who would like to make me his "little girl." What a generous offer.
    L-)
I think "Logan" is already married to GothicMama. Well, at least that's what it sounded like from the BabyCenter thread.

But seriously, you should ask that dude out.

Oh yeah, I read that post and thought, hm, I wonder whether she'll stick around here. Where did that conversation go?

ETA: Nevermind, I went back and found it. It went nowhere after the last time I looked. But GothicMom never posted again, did she?

Nope. She didn't. Her story (via BabyCenter) makes me really sad.

Lol! This was totally me and DH when we first met. It took me 9 months to get him to ask me out! And that was because it took me 9 months to build up the courage to ask him when we were going!
