This week I want to try subsituting chia seeds for eggs in a cookie recipe... I am skeptical... But let's see how it goes!

Last week- I wanted to start my ABCs summer school for DD. It has been going great! We did Aa and Bb. We cut out shapes, did letter crafts, scavenger hunts working on phonics, recognizing letters in books or on items wherever we went. She has a real hunger for stuff like this and kept asking to do each thing "Again!!!"

what scavenger hint is complete w/o a magnifying glass? This was on hunt, Butterfly wearing Bear w a Bandaged Boo Boo. And then checking off on list, check check check lol. This week will cont on w Cc and Dd... And depending on events this week and weekend, might get EE done (possible Elmo's visit Saturday?!?!?!) and start F for Father's Day. However I can just draw out Dd for Daddy's Day if this week gets to busy. I was worried it might be too much and my Mom is always saying don't push her, but I remember being like her as a kid- I always wanted to do more and hated being bored. Glad I pushed my self to start!

well, last week i sad my something new was DH cooking. that lasted 1 night. hmm. way to show lots of effort DH.

this week i want to craft. i have this wood pallet i'm going to turn into an herb garden. it's been sitting in my garage for a month. i will get it started!!

This week I will compost. I got home this morning and DH had bought me a new composter. He's scoring brownie points. I didn't have a goal last week. I couldn't get out of my own way!

Last week- we didn't grill the burritos because we waited too long and didn't have time to use the grill before my soccer game. We baked them and they were good!!

This week- I'm sitting out. Well, maybe I will come up with something mid week, but I got slammed with a cold or something and I'm laid out in bed. Feel. So. Yucky.

Disclosure: I'm not a picky food eater. But I'm one of those weird, "I don't like my food mixed or touching other food" people. So, yesterday, I had my first omelet. Yes, 38, and finally had an omelet. I liked it. I don't think I'll ever like the super fancy ones, but feta, spinach, cilantro, and olives are a winner..... DHs response was "I never see you finish anything...." I was supposed to do Yoga, I didn't. So I tried for the non vanilla, non OCD approach to things.

I also, instead of squirming, which I usually do, told my ultrasound tech, "That's not the right hole." She acted shocked & awkwardly, but come on, we've been doing this dance for 6 months.

Baby steps ladies, baby steps for me.

I didn't get around to tie dying last week. I opted for making resin bottle cap coasters instead. I'm making them for my step dad (who will be in town, unlike my real dad) They turned out pretty well if I do say so myself. He's quite a beer enthusiast.

This week, hopefully tie dye if buying a kit is in the budget. Sigh, I wonder what it's like to not have to worry about spending $15.

My idea was to grill the meat, then roll the tortillas and grill them when the grill wasn't quite as hot. I just cooked down the chicken instead with some diced tomatoes and spices and we popped the burritos in the oven for a few minutes. The grill would have been SO much better. Maybe next weekend!

Thanks! I think it was just that end of the school year thing where your body says "eff you" and gives out. Except my body forgot that I work all year and it's just the kids who get summer break in June...

@bananaappeal145 What about just a dollar for RIT and do it all yourself? That's what we always did! And if you want shapes there are great tutorials online (YouTube). And I get it about the money.

feel better @annibes! @bananappeal145 i'm right there with ya on being frugal. oh to have disposable income. wouldn't that be nice. @MrsAtch is your composter the kind that tumbles? i am wanting one of those. i just got a worm composter for mother's day (it was maybe the BEST gift DH has ever gotten me) and i love it, but it's just starting out and i can't overfeed them so i'm still trashing a lot of food that could be composted. (read: looking to get a composter)

Has to do with doing something different @Iloveshanej‌, like instead of sitting there like an idiot, saying something. Sorry you haven't had the wonderful experience of the dildo cam behind pressed at the wrong area, by an ultrasound tech who tries to do everything quickly and in the dark.

That's great for you @Iloveshanej‌. Unfortunately I find myself pretty damn passive when it comes to medical things & saying anything, so finally saying something instead of squirming around incessantly worked. The lack of "here we go again" feeling when I see her is pretty nice, since we haven't had it happen again.

@Jodee37 yup, it is a tumbler. I added grass clippings, peat moss, and a bunch of scraps from my sunday fruit/veggie prep. I should be able to add all food waste right away. (Minus meat and the other no nos)

It was $100 at home depot. Not sure what I did right today but apparently DH decided to be sweet. He even had chocolate for me tonight.

You're right! It is great for me because I don't have an ultrasound up my butt. You don't seem to have any problem opening your mouth here!
