LA bumpies

I think DH, T and I are headed out for a visit in August... turn a business trip into a vacation. I've never been to LA so I'm excited. I think we're gonna spend half our time in Hollywood and half our time in Hermosa Beach. Any suggestions for fun things to do with Tess? Any other tips?

Also, at the beach I think we're gonna do a Air BNB rental... that way we have our own kitchen and some private space to relax after T goes to bed. Anyone ever do this before? Does this seem like a good idea?

@mystererae‌ I just want to get to know the area and relax. If you could recommend any fun neighborhoods for poking around or doing a little shopping, some good neighborhood restaurants or coffee shops, farmers markets, parks etc. Also, one or two can't miss tourist experience.
I also want to go for a hike. In People magazine it seems like everyone in LA goes hiking all the time so it seems like that would be a fun way to get some exercise and maybe spot a celebrity or two.

We have to do a little time in Hollywood because that's near where my husband is working so we can get our hotel paid for there. My little brother also recently moved out to LA and it's closer to where he lives.

However, I am most excited about our beach time

When I figure out our details, I'll definitely PM you to get more advice.

I was going to suggest the grove! They have a farmers market next door. It's nice. Definitely go during the week so you don't have to hang out with a million other people
